lol, I'm a guy, girls like bad-guys cause they're(the girls) horny and want someone to fuck their brains out - someone who's not afraid to stand up for them - someone who will entertain them ruthlessly - most just deny their cravings for those few things and re-word them to be:

Lol... it's not good for a guy to be too nice. Girls tend take advantage of that, and take you for granted. Sooner or later it's going to end up as your weakness. This is based on personal observation.
They might not say they like it, but a badboy who catches a girl's attention, and isn't afraid to stand up for himself (against the wishes of the girl) will at least score points for appearing strong. (read shoujo manga for tips)
Don't be too nice... I think girls are lying when they say they like nice, polite, considerate...etc etc... guys. I bet the badboys are more likely to get the girl.

Yah I agree with SpikeyApples badass guys are just a pain in the ass to handle but a goody2shoes can be a bit boring, so yah I'd say I like a mixture.

Although im a guy, i just wanted to say this: Its seems like females like a badass/bad attititude type of guy but don't like him when he's that way towards you.
I can be a jerk/bastard sometimes but you usually have to do me wrong or be the first to insult/offend/start something with me and im also pretty patientand tolerant. Other than that, im usually kind, caring, giving, compassionate, loyal, honest and stubborn, jealous, grumpy...well...basically, most of Inu-Yasha's traits with a lil bit/mix of other anime characters.
I say half and half. I sort of like the bad-boy but not a total jerk type, and I like it when they can be a gentleman and nice too. I don't really go for goody-two-shoes so... and I don't go for jerks, so there's the answer: as long as it's balanced and they're not a total jerk but still a badass and gentleman. XD

I'm a guy and i know this for a fact (cause I used to be one of them) girls don't like the good boy image. They just don't. Once they see this kind of behaviour the instinctively rate him off as a wuss (which technically he is). That being said girls don't exactly run off for the bad boy persona either because they know that bad boy=jerks and they'll only get hurt in the end. From what I noticed girls go after men who aren't afraid to speak their mind and who can stand up for themselves but they must also be funny to a certain extent too. This would keep the relationship interesting at the very least.

Well, I like guys who can stand up for themselves, not afraid to speak up, modest, athletic, and kinda smart. Not stupid and not nerdy. I don't like bad boys, because I'm a good girl. ^^; Well, maybe sort of in between. I like arguements sometimes and I get into trouble from time to time.
