To me this poem means that everyone can mistake their feelings so ask yourself some questions before you assume things, but that doesn't mean your feeling aren't true. This poem took me a litlle longer than the others, I hope you all enjoy!
A Love Mistake
I tried to stay away from love
So my heart would never break
But I started to get some feelings
A bond was starting to make
I tried to deny the truth
But I could deny it no longer
I knew I loved you
And accepting made me stronger
I wanted to tell you
But shyness didn't let me
I tried to tell you
But my feelings upset me
I knew I needed to tell you
So I gave it one last go
I knew that it was something
That you needed to know
When I finally got the guts
To tell you how I feel
I knew at long last
That our love was real
You said nothing at first
I started to get scared
Suddenly I felt
I was being compared
I cried in the night
All alone once more
Doing nothing but crying
Until there was a knock on the door
I wiped my wet eyes
I opened the door and saw you outside
You told me you didn't share the same feelings
I said neither do I and lied
But after you left
My heart didn't break
I realized
You were a mistake
I didn't truly feel
The way I thought I did
And love is something
With which you shouldn't kid
So I go on avoiding love
So my heart won't break
And so I won't fall in love
With another mistake
