Man I spilled a great big glass of milk all over my laptop about 4 weeks ago I thought it was done for...but I waited 2 1/2 weeks...and BAM! She's up and running again, hehe. I did a complete reinstall of windows xp and all my programs just for good measure to make it a clean start hehe.

Anyways I have 2 computers one PC and one Laptop.

PC Config: 2.4ghz Intel Celeron, 2gb RAM, 400gb HDD, DVDRW-DL and a CDRW, X-Fi Soundblaster with 5.1 Surround, Nvidia GeForce 6200 w/ 256mb video memory (it's pci tho), Linksys Wireless G PCI adapter for my wireless router and my monitor finally upgraded yesterday is a 37inch widescreen LCD Westinghouse television (screen resolution is now at 1920x1080.)

Laptop Config: 3.2ghz Intel Pentium 4, 512mb RAM (shared with the graphics chip) 80gb HDD, DVD/CDRW, ATI Radeon IGP 345m mobilitly chipset (set to 128mb memory shared from the RAM) which features a 15.4 inch widescreen monitor.

I have an internet connection via cable has a 6mbit line now for everyone in town, so max speeds I get somethimes reach 800k/sec...very rarely tho.

Weee.! Fellow Widescreen lappy owner!

Gee, i meant that my PC's Water cooling system's water coolant tube burst and spilled all over its mess on my mother board and its a horrible experience. =( Anyway, she died a glorious simple watery death. Haha, everything was short circuit. Hadn't got the cash to make a comeback either.

Anyways, the lappy is my lifeline now for my IT works.

3.2ghz Pentium 4 ! Holy bytes! That's fast for a lappy! Teehee, perhaps i spill some milk over KOSMOS too ?

Hope is an optimist

Pentium 4 CPU 3 GHz
1 GIG DDR Ram
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 128mg (Man! I need to upgrade my Graphics card)
56k external modem (connected at 21.6 Kbps - sh*t telephone lines)
1 CD RW (don't really use anymore but its still works)
1 DVD RW + R DL
Windows XP Home
80 + 40 GIG internal and a 250 GIG external Harddrive
17" Samsung screen 1024 by 768 32bit
I don't really have any trouble with this config. Except the graphics card (which is a tad low) and the internet connection (which I can't do anything about)

You do know that there is no such thing as "dual channel" memory.

All you need is two sticks of ram with the same time settings.
And you'll get dual channel. And of course your mobo needs to support
dc.

specs:

Intel Pentium D 2.8Ghz (dual core)
1GB DDR2 (512MB x 2) (DC)
Asus mobo using Intel 945p Express Chipset (dlx version)
6600gt PCIe x16
2xWD80GB SATA 3G at RAID 0
2xWD80GB EIDE 8mb (for OS imaging)
2xDVD writers
X-Fi Xtreme Music

edit: Dead system spec

Intel Pentium III 800eb (slot design)
384mb PC133
40gb EIDE SE edition
80gb (in Mobile Rack)
1 DVD rom
1 CD-RW
GeForce FX 5200 (AGP)
SB Live value

Bilo you really need to know something! If you run sticks of ram which run at different speeds such as your 2x256 at 400mhz and your 1x256mb at 333mhz they will all run at 333mhz! I hope your not expecting to do anything fast on your computer! >.<
