Well I have finallt beaten FF9, after like 3 tries...>.<'' Well I didn't really like the ending, let alone with Zidane goign back to Garnet. They could've better graphics in the end. So do you guys agree or disagree?

I beat FF9 on the first try... I was an experienced gamer, and even beat that ball-like secret boss thingy and stole everything he had on him. I managed to kill the last boss without much of a hassle using some funny damage enemy and heal party at the same time equipment settings. (absorb dark magic equipment and kept using that meteor spell whatever it was called)

I liked the ending but I didn't like the story... it was a bit messed up as far as I remember. The world being covered in fog was simply horrendus flying terrain. I liked Garnet-til-Alexandros the best simply because she was cute... kind of.

FF9 isn't really hard for me, i beat the game at my first try, it was quite easy =P

i agree with you on the ending, it could have been so much better, but it was ok.

hehee I dunno why but I like the music... but yeah, the game was pretty easy to play in general... ENDING was... uh.. OK. I don't think much of the ending... but yeah, I think it was pretty good as a game in general.. And it did have a lousy feel as a FF game because it simply didn't meet the usual standards set by previous storylines :P.. I don't think it made as much sense.. anyway..

Haha.. nyway all in all.. just ok as a game.

Would've been nice if the ending would have had more Beatrix in it. She was my favourite character in that game.

I also finished it in one and first try.
The game itself is not bad (for me, though). I like the storyline. Too bad I forget. The ending is fine. Although the scene where Zidane and the princess (Garnet aka Dagger) met again seems a little cliche... Just like a drama.

Negative side? Of course, the ever-boring battle system...
Oh, and I like the boss battle theme sooo much!

I didn't finished the game (the emulator got bugged in the scene where alexandria is supposed to be blown to bits by bahamut, so try this in PS1) though i do know the ending because i've seen it many times.

the CG ending seems fine though they're like miniature version of a FF game (see the size and why is there a tail on zidane?)

nevertheless, it's all good to give it a try

I have the whole soundtrack of FF9, since it is my favorite FF game. The FF10 battle system is sooo much better I think....

yeah....I found it really easy aswell when compared to any other ff game, mainly cos you don't have to level up much....never beat osma cos I hate chocobos and couldn't be bothered with em, beat all the other bosses on first try except for the silver dragon (I think...it's the one before the end fight with kuja)
I actually did quite like the ending as it fit well with the story.....oh and fav character...VIVI, I mean it was really was vivi's story in my eyes.

Zidane Tribal is cool he kind of remind me of myself. i'll admit it's not as cool as the final fantasy 7 ending but weren't most of hero's in the game really kids? that what made that game kids saying the world.

This is my second favourite game, and I think the anding could have been more "explained". I always says that the different version of a game (Jap, Ntsc, Pal) may differ not only in some bonus (like in Kingdom Hearts PAL the battle at colosseum with Sephiroth that was not in the Jap version) but also in the translation.

So, here in italy, the story was transleted very well, but the ending is still a bit difficulty to understand for some people... the thing that leaves doubt is that Gidan return to Garnet without saving Kuja. This is a thing I really don't understand!

Another thing, if you take the Hammer of "Er Cina" (don't know the english name, sorry) in the end you gain some extra scenes... but they are soooo useless >__>""

This is the first FF I was play and is my second favorite RPG game, this game have a beautifull story. Ilike too much the character VIVI(I was change his name by "Oz").
My favorite RPG game is "Vagrant Story". ^_^ Bye.

i'm re-playing ff9 right now. Vivi's my favorite! the story i think is great. cinematics are great. it's fantastic. one of my all time favourites.

i hate Trance though...if you get into Trance mode but don't use it up in a battle, you lose it altogether. that annoyed me.

I actually liked the ending, I mean it wasn't the best, but they did pretty well with the story. As for graphics, 9 was incredible considering this was all done using the original PS graphics.

THe only thing i really didnt like was that near the end, zidane gets so many awesome weaps in so lil time, so u dun really get a chance to use em:/

The ending to FF9 was perfectly fine. Not like the massive disappointment that was the ending to FF7, the first FF game I completed.

Someone asked why Zidane didn't save Kuja at the ending. Personally, I think it's because Kuja probably wouldn't have any of it, or that he was pretty much almost dead anyway. And, if just for the sake of argument, what if he were to be saved? What then? Given the things he did in the duration of the game, I don't think there would be any places he would go that he would be welcomed in. Would he have had to live the rest of his life in solitude? What kind of a life would that be?

i liked ff9. of the ff series it was my favorite and probably what got me into rpgs in general. if i had played ff7 first i would have failed miserably. anyway necron is a fairly simple boss and if you play through the game more than once i would have beaten ozma but yeah it was an awsome game. i highly recomend people playing it.

I beat FF9 many times and I personally didn't like the ending comparing it to the previous PS1 FF games such as 7 and 8. FF9 ending was like a 5/10 because the ending was like bleh. The only things I still never understood about the game which it still haunts me today is the card game which I NEVER understood at all and this last boss Necron. He just appeared and never mentioned at all during the gameplay. I was like, 'Huh?"

I beat FF9 in the first go but honestly i didn't like the entire game not just the ending. Yes it was fun but it was just not the same as all the other FF games i played.
