This is a wallpaper featuring Uchiha Sasuke from Naruto. I think it's my best work yet, but for some reason, it was deleted from the main MT gallery. Any comments on why?

well, your extraction looks alright, so I don't think that's the problem. I think it's mostly because of those film-strips at the edges. It looks like you've used screencaps for those, and MT doesn't like screencaps too much (the quality of screencaps are usually low)
The background patterns look nice and cool, but I see no real connection to the Sasuke scan... also, Sasuke doesn't have to stand so close to the edge, bring him to the right slightly to balance things a bit more. He looks like he's floating in midair, so maybe have him stand on something?

i would like to apologize in advance for any type-o's or anything i say that doesn't really make sense even though i think it does.
um... i dont want 2 b mean, but if this forum post is asking why u deleted ur wallie, or reasons on why ur wallie is bad (im not saying it is, thats just my translation), then do u really think anyone will want 2 comment on it? i mean, no one wants 2 b mean...
anyway, sinace i always contradict myself, now im going 2 comment
hmmm.. about the wallie ... (and please dont blame me if i sound mean, becuz this is just my honest opinion)
i never liked it when there were backround graphics and then a character
becuz the character lokks like theyre not stading on something, which reminds me of chaos, but wallies like that r almost never meant 2 show chaos
+ the character is always in some stance that gives u a pretty good idea of where the ground should b... so that just bothers me 4 any wallie of that style.
also, the whole wallie has a very dotted/ grainy texture and even though i guess that is kind of the texture u might hav tried 2 create, i think it just makes the quality look low, ecspecially becuz the swirl effects and that texture dont mix well cuz it makes them look less 3d (but i like the swirls besides that)
as 4 the filmstrips...
i luv how the bottom one crosses over the corner @ an angle
it really adds a lot 2 the wallie
but i think the others should be at angles also
+ (and this is just one of my weird ideas)
i think it would b really cool if 2 of the filmstrips crossed and one had itachi's face and one had sasuke's and if they overlapped.
im impressed with myself...i never get any good ideas 4 my own walls (which i still need 2 start since i'v been on this site 4 a while and still have nothing in my gallery...AHHH!...im pathetic)
however (back 2 being a critic) i almost feel like the filmstrips clutter the wallie, since they r basically the same colors and texture as the back... so maybe it would help if the films were all like that classic filmstrip brown and looked all smooth and glossy.
oh...and another cool idea i just got... since on filmstrinps they always have like little dates and stuff (@ least i think they do...maybe im halucinating...no clue how thats speled) it would be cool if thats where the title was...anway, i dont think its ur best wallie cuz i luv the other sasuke one u made (with the grey backround + its in my favs)
but i dont think u should have deleted it (ok so that sounds kind of weird, since everything i just said was seriously critical, but its true).
now i need 2 think of a good way 2 end this post...

mmm...the scan quality isnt that great, and the extraction needs a little more work because it looks pixelated. The text doesnt match the overall feeling of the wallpaper (but thats not a reason why it was deleted, obviously). I think the main problem here is the background. Not too many walls with abstract backgrounds make it into the gallery. No, wait. Well, there are wallpapers that do get into the gallery with an abstract background, but well, hmmmm...how should i explain this? The background in your wallpaper is a little too simple. It looks as if you used a couple of filters and then was finished (im not saying it was that way) It also kind of looks unrelated to the rest of the wallpaper.

The character doesn't look like he's part of the action, the action is where all the swirls are converging. I like the film strip in theory, but either the character OR the strips need to be the main focus, and right now they are battling for dominance. The bg is too simple, it doesn't look like you made it, it looks like it was a texture you downloaded and didn't alter at all. The character, bg and filmstrips aren't quite in harmony: they are all the same hue value, so there isn't a lot of depth to the color, it is all very primary. To create visual interest, you need to have variation of texture, color and intensity, and this is all equally intense. The scan isn't the best quality. It has several good ideas, it really does. I think you could have this reposted with some work.
