following the tradition of hollywood of making completely worthless excuses of movies and giving them titles of bestselling games, consequentially, giving the games a bad game, some bloke decided to make a TEKKEN movie.
i don't know about you guys but im hoping it wint suck too bad. Rumors say Zhao Wei (So Close, Shaolin Soccer) will star in it. i don't know, maybe as Xiaoyu.
What do you guys think?
i have a good idea who should star as Paul, Paul Michael Levesque. if you're a WWE fan you should know who he is. and i hope the movie won't suck too much. video games turned to movies generally sucks..
i don't know if it'll suck,but i want to watch that.I am big fan of the game series and i watch the anime,but it is little old..if now they made anime on Tekken it will be great.

i saw the tekken anime. its old but its real good. it gives you a good backgrounder on tekken 2.
do you guys know of any actors or actresses who might seem perfect as a Tekken character?

at first i was excited, but after seeing dead or alive movie I fear Tekken would suffer the same herendous fate. I belive tekken should take the route of cgi, just like final fantasy did with advenr children. (especially after viewing the cutscenes in the games , )

a CG movie is a really good idea. i agree with you. that way, Kazuya can ewgf his opponent 5 consecutive times x_x
I watched the old Tekken movie years ago, from what I remember it sucked. That would be cool if there were to be a new Tekken movie with CG graphics.

OK, great news to you people. One great thing to point out is that the Tekken movie is NOT going to be directed by an american director. I'll provide examples why this is a good thing. Consider thee American directed movies:
DoA, the newest victim, Ayane isn't even asian
The Ring (They have the technology, so why arn' they scary?)
The Grudge (turned to a comedy movie in my opinion)
There's just 3, but you get my drift. Anyways, now that i've said that, i believe that this director is actually searching for actors that actually look like the Tekken charaters, rather then get any star then apply them with make-up.
I have found a few pics of the actors they are considering for the roles, and i will link them soon. Some of the actors they are considering have had a history in fighting, and some are really similar in their appearance with the Tekken characters.
I'll provide a more updated post soon, but for now, rest assured, there's a high chance it's not junk =)

i agree american adaptations of asian movies generally suck. i haven't seen DoA yet but i knew it will be a flop. i'd still prefer it if they made it a CGI movie.
yeah. it will look even better if they made it a CGI movie rather than find some actor who doesn't even look like the real thing. it'll only make the game have a bad name when its actually a good game.
yeah CGI is the way to go. DOA just plain killed me. tsk, real people doing some of the game moves.. i just can't imagine it

No, Jet Li not going to play Jin. Because he is, I be dissapoint. Even though I am myself a fan of Jet Li. No offense. I looking forward someone new and younger. Plus, I can't picture Jet Li as Jin. To be correct Devil Jin.
I am looking forward this movie. I read somewhere Jin is not the main character. He might not even be in the movie. If this true. I will be dissappiont. The story about his family is the reason I got in to the movie and it won't be Tekken, anymore. If Jin is not in the movie.
