It depends...Anime like Rozen Maiden would be really cool to have a lot of episodes of since it won't bore me at all. But some anime have so many episodes that I'm not enjoying it anymore,then I stop and go watch something else that is shorter,but more fun...But it mostly just depends on what kind of anime it is and if I'm not easily bored by it.

depends...but i mostly like long anime but not too long please, like inuyasha -_- that was just TOO long. maybe around 100 episodes is good :)
if its a good anime to begin with i wouldn't mind it being long at all

I really don't mind but sometimes i think a series can be too sort and then sometimes i think a series is too long! hehe

I prefer animes that are very long since most of the time the animes that are longer are more interesting for me.

I totally go for shorter animes. I haven't even touched Naruto or Bleach, I just read the manga scan. The maximum number of episode that is accepttable by me is around 50,which is Gundam Seed's length(but with Destiny then it will count as 100, but it's good so it's no problem).

It all comes down to the story.. animes with good stories e.g. (short) Serial Experiments Lain (13 ep) / (long) Monster (74ep) / (1 year contract=50+ep) Full Metal Alchemist (51 ep)

I think I prefer long anime series such as Naruto, Bleach, or Slam Dunk.
But it's not that I don't like short animes though.
I think it still depends on the anime itself. Sometimes there are some animes that are better off being a short series and vice versa.

i prefer a long episodes anime..well..sometimes a short episode anime are not clear..and i think if a long episode anime has a plot and the story more interesting than a short episode anime..
but i didn't mean all long eps anime were good..because only several long eps anime has a good plot and good basic story..like bleach..naruto..gundam seed series(seed and destiny)..kyou kara maou..these anime has enter the 10th best anime in japan..because the story and the plot were great and has a good events on the animation..bleach..inuyasha..kyou kara maou and gundam seed series was several from my fav animes..wohohoho..but b;each was the best! =D :)

It depends. There are good & bad anime seriees with only 13 or 26 episodes and there are good & bad series with 100+ episodes.
I would rather have less episodes to watch, than terrible fillers (Naruto, Bleach), or having to see lots of useless episodes (Dragon Ball/Z/GT, Sailor Moon, Marmalade Boy, Tokyo Mew Mew...).

I would prefer short ones. They don't spend too much time to watch finish. Haha. Long animes would more likely tend to be draggy.

of course i don't like very lengthy ones because i would quickly loose interest for the entire show. i also don't like short ones either because in the end i will be thinking what was the whole point of that series. i like it somewhere between 50 to 52 episodes is okay for me.

As long as the story is good and there are hot and/or cute guys in it I don't mind how long or short it is.

Short anime, 13-26, is always the best in my opinion.. although there are a few exceptions, you really don't need to make more than 50 episodes to explore a story. Of course I will always miss the characters, story, etc, but that doesn't mean it should keep going. If an anime ends with plenty of unresolve feelings and plot, then it shouldn't have been kept short. However, many if not most anime end up with filler once they breach the 13 episode mark, and I really don't care for it.

I prefer long anime (50 episode or more). Not sure why but short anime just doesn't appeal to me as much.

I prefer short anime. Look at something like Bleach. That (apparently) had alot going for it, yet whatever it was, I couldn't see it because the whole show was so drawn out I found it unbearable. Every action scene should have been over in seconds, but that couldn't happen because the characters insisted on taking forever to evaluate each other's potential and trash-talk about it. So what we had was episodes that were 60% incredibly boring fight scenes.

I like my anime to keep a fast pace so if I dislike what's onscreen at the moment, chances are I wont be looking at the same thing in 15 minutes time. In a short anime, things are constantly kept fresh. They're always changing, and they're straight to the point. I actually want to watch the next episode to see what different content I can expect.

In general I prefer short anime but if the stories are complex and grabs your attention then I wouldn't mind it being long like Legend of Galactic Heroes.

I don't really care, and long as the series is good. However, I generally tend to watch 12 or around 27 anime series generally. If a series is over 50+ episodes long, I won't watch it.

After 2yrs and 42wk since I started this thread, I've changed my mind 100%. I just love the short anime's without a doubt. I've given up on the long ones a long time ago. The character development in a shot series is just incredible, and yeah, I hate it ends so quickly but at the same time it has to end sometime and I prefer to keep the image of the character intact (or not but at least not getting annoyed by fillers or stuff like that)

If the anime has content then it should be on 50 episodes maybe (like clannad)
but if its a no-brainer or just random ecchi scattered everywhere then 3 episodes would be acceptable (kissXsis)

I love anime long enough because it allows the author to explore these characters and to further develop the story.

Despite this my favorite animes are mostly short or medium term.
