here i will write u one for stars an another one for a simple planet.

Stars:

1. First go File > New and open. I used around 500x500 pixels with a black background.
2. Create a new layer by selecting Layer > New > Layer, named Stars

3. Choose the Brush Tool with a Master Diameter of about 5 pixels. Now set your foreground color to the color you want your stars to be. Then go to Window > Brushes and use the following preferences.

4. Then, draw ur stars.
5. Lastly, on the layer you painted your stars, right click on it and go to Blending Options. Then click on Outer Glow, select your color (mine ios white), and click OK. Thats it, you're all done.

Now the planet:

1. Open a new document at wathever size, i choose 500x500. Pick black as your forefround color, and white as ur background color. Then go to Filter>Render>Clouds.

2. Next pick images>adjustements>equalize. Duplicate this layer and select ur top UNLOCKED layer to work on.

3. Press "M" or select the "Elliptical Marquee Tool". Then draw a cicle while pressing shift, this will create a perfect circle.

4. While the marquee is still on, go to Filter>Distort>Spherize. Select the amount to 100%. Repeat the Spherize, but this time with an amount of 30%.

5. While the marquee is still on, go to Filter>Render>Lighting Effects, adjust the lights as u want. Mine are these.
