How do you treat your manga?

page 3 of 4 « Previous 1 2 3 4 Next » 80 total items

i have a little manga library next to the anime collection...i cant stand it, when they rip or anything else...they are precious...and i have a little fortune in my library last time i counted it was far over 600 books...and they all look as good as new!

i care about my manga^^ but i do read them many times and look at the picture oft so i can draw the picture i like^^ so they get a little worn but i do like them even if they are a little worn out!^^

I lend my manga out to people but try to keep my manga in the best condish possible.

In the neatest and newest condition!

i treat my manga with love XD I take care of them, I dont lend them to anybody. They are all in good condition ^^

I read most of my manga on the computer, cause thats the only way i can get it, and the pages are bigger that way, then if i really like one ill buy the raw manga. I may or may not even read them but just put them in a lined drawer and go "Yay!" once and a while.

The mangaka's artbooks are different though, they're way better in paper form, and i wear them out.

i try to keep them in gd condition but as time passes, some of the pages turn yellow. faint... mostly i shelve them or stack them up so tt they wont get crushed and all

Uhm.. I do have a lot of manga but the difference is they are in digitl form. In my country (Bangladesh, that is; probably not many of you heard about it) there is no place where I can buy manga, I repeat, absolutely no place. Even I know Only a few people who love reading manga around here. SO I download hem from net and read them at my pc. Well, about maintenance, I have them in my hard drive and in case have them in DVD. That's all.

I wrap them in those transparent wrappers for the text books(you might not have it),keep them in a separate cupboard and make sure it is in good condition, but recently I gotten lazy...anyway I make sure they are well kept.

It doesn't hurt to have company by your side.

My Anime and Manga are all in perfect condition, in alphabetical order on a shelf in my room ... which also happens to be clean and organized (god I hate being OCD!)

^^ when I bought them , read it carefully and doesnt leave it to my lil sister >< ( she always careless ) . Put all of them away before some one see and borrow them . Oh no I dont want anybody touch my collection .

Taboo coming up: anyone wrap their manga in the plastic sleeves or see through book protectors? I is so wrong I kow, But when it is wrapped perfectly on a paperback from Tokyopop, from one end, over the spine, and the other end, it feels and does wonders!
Manga with special shiny, foil, or embossed convers, I dont cover those. I wonder if you can but sleeves for manga? Anyone?

Yeah, I have a shelf, but I am seriously running out of space. 400 books, and I nned to find space for anime and dvds and games too... Stacks of novels I don't really look after them that well. They are the only ones I might read while eating cookies for example.

I take very good care of my manga( Especially the Deathnote manga ^^ ) and I do lend them out sometimes, but only to People who understand the value of the Allmighty Manga hehe XD

I like to read my manga over and over, the reason which some of my friends cannot understand. But I dojn't particulary take good care of my manga, as I also have two little brothers, both of which are slobs, also read. So...no plastic covers for me. They end up a little battered.

I keep my new (but fast growing) manga collection nice and neat on a shelf on my bookcase. I vowed when I got into anime last year that I would not get into manga... oh well.

I treasure my manga!

Since I pay alot for the mangas I purchase I normally keep them in prefect condition through keeping them in places where there is no dust,or areas where the paper can rip or bend

I treat mine like gold....yes i love them and i make sure noone who reads them rips them or hurts them in anyway.....
yes i love them...

what am i to do with you?

i keep mine in a clean and safe area thus keeping it in good condition :)

I treat them as if they were my life.No folding,no tearing,no cups of coffee next to them!
but the only thing that I'm losing a battle against it the YELLOWING OF PAPER. T_T
I'd laminate every pge if I could. But then again I wouldn't be able to turn the pages at all.How do you prevent the pages from yellowing anyway?Store the manga in air-tight Tupperware containers? -_-"

Of course, I treat them really well. The series that I don't have completed, I line them on shelves. With ones I've completed, I keep them in boxes under my desk ('cause there's too many of them for the shelves).

I try to keep them in store-bought condition. I don't bend them, or tear them and they go onto my shelf away from harm. And I ABSOLUTELY do not lend them to anyone. I can't trust anyone else with my precious manga. STAY AWAY FROM MY SHELF.
