I recently had this image which I had uploaded today deleted just recently. I suppose this is a sort of complaint, because in comparison to other scans or fanart posted on Minitokyo everyday, I don't think it was that inappropriate. Here is the image (about 800KB): http://www.angelfire.com/anime4/lord_satorious/overdrive_canal.html

I don't find that all that bad. At least she's wearing clothes. It's sexually-inclined, but so is this; http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/15436/

And she's hardly wearing anything. Now the same character, wearing nothing; http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/28928/

So those two get a pass and my fanart gets the axe. This isn't a complaint against those two Minitokyo members, nor even the fact my upload got axed, but the inconsistency in censorship. No pornography on Minitokyo is fine, but there is a ton of nude/near nude females showing what could be at least called ecchi, if not outright hentai. Maybe my description was more lewd than usual, but that can be changed.

So the question is, this image uploadable? To quote, "what say you?"

The image is uploadable~ I don't see anything that violates gallery rules. Most likely a member reported the scan as 'unacceptable' and it was deleted due to that members request.

It's completely understandable though. Inconsistencies tend to happen often in large image galleries like MT ^^;;

I also had this problem that some scans got deleted without checking them out, just because somebody reported them. There should be a roule that mods have to check, if something written in a report is actually true, before deleting anything.

*remembers then 10 of his most popular scans with 5 pages of comments and 20+ favourites got deleted, because somebody thought they were of bad quality* :angry:
I'm going to eat that mod's soul, if I ever find out who it was!

Other cases include things like a scan getting deleted as a double post, although mine was 3 times larger than the other one (and mine was a self-scanned one with a monster filesize which nearly was too big for MT!).

I don't see what the problem with that is. She has clothes, and isn't doing anything compromising.

Of the reports we get, I have to "ignore" about 20% of them because someone reports something as obscene or "bad quality" when it either isn't or they have their own agenda. i.e. "This is obscene (older image) but the new one I just uploaded is bigger and cleaner! (new image, slightly bigger with no content change).

Well, if there's that much positive feedback and a supermoderator (not just a regular moderator, but a super one! Is that like a moderator with super powers?) say it's OK, then I will post it again. Doom on the member that says it's pornographic.

I can agree to everyone else's opinoin about the image, it is wallable, but there is a definate problem in defining where the "ecchi" begin/end, and when does "hentai" come in.

I know what you mean, but that unfortunately happens... remembering all U:collection artbook I had uploaded after scanning it... and now like only 10 scans remain? and they were of excelent quality.

but on the other hand with the amount of scan submissions mods are unable to check every single one of them. so i think that it would be a good idea to either: incerease the number of mods ;) or: increase the number of symbols one can use when reporting a "double/bad quality" item. i always try to describe the difference between the originally uploaded scan and its duble and frequently there is not enough space. :] or: yet anouther option create a special group of members under the purpose to check those reported submissions as mods have enough on their minds without checking everything and those compleints they have to deal with...
