well it's almost time for the first airing of strikers and i can't wait. after watching the dvd version of A's with the upgraded drawings in certain events i felt hyped up enough to create another thread. even though i already made a thread for strikers, i wanted to get rid of the title and put something more natural. so now it's time to hype up the 3rd installment of a great, if not THE greatest, mahou shoujo genre. plus i wanted to make a thread so i wouldn't be talking about this series in a certain other thread which doesn't relate to nanoha. also included is a poll just to see who out of the newbie characters you are interested in with my pick being tiana lanster. and for those who haven't been up to date here's a couple of news tidbits:

there's more info out there but this is the latest that i know of. this series deserves to be known especially since it breaks all boundries of what your typical mahou shoujo show is known for. this is probably the most popular underground series (well....underground here in the U.S.) and i'm surprised it hasn't been licensed yet. 2 more months until drive ignition!

Launching shoujoboy 2.0

I'll say I'm a bit torn on this season. Following up two phenominal seasons is going to be extrodinarily difficult. Nanoha easily ranks near the top of my all time favorites. My worry is that somehow they will drop the ball on this one and ruin the overall experience. But at the same time the prospect of more Fate-chan is more than I can bear.

As for this show getting licensed, I'm kinda wondering if its not one of those thats just far too expensive to license. It is immensely popular so the price tag may make it too much for any American licensor to pick up. Could it sell enough to turn a profit? I'd buy it but will enough others.

you brought up good points shoujoboy. those are pretty much the worries that most nanoha fans are worried about. but hey, who would have thought they could surpass the already great story in the first nanoha in a's. i put my complete trust in strikers because it's directed by the same person who did the first 2 so that puts me at comfort. now what i'm really worried about is how they evolved from 13 episodes to 26 episodes. nanoha and a's were perfect because it didn't drag and there weren't any fillers at all. but now since it's 26 episodes due to the enlarged cast, we might experience some of those unfortunate outcomes. but like i said before, i'll trust them because the last thing they want to do is to screw up on an already well received property. oh and here's one of my predictions for the series, since it's 26 episodes there is a high chance that there'll be 2 intros. now that would be superior!

so i see fate ensnared you with her charms huh? i don't blame you because i'm one of those people as well. she made me loli against my will! that's ok though, now she's at the appropriate age to when i won't feel bad anymore :)

i don't think the license would be that expensive when compared to say bleach or naruto where it is immensely popular. i'm surprised adv or funimation didn't pick it up midway before the first season finished like they normally do with good titles but i guess since it is a touchy type of series to pick up (i.e. the torture of fate, the fanservice of young girls, etc.) they don't wanna risk being sued or something.....i don't know *shrug*. in all honesty, i don't think it will profit as well here versus japan for many factors.

you know they better make a video game of strikers now at least with the huge cast lineup now. if they do make one, it better be a fighting game. i would love to smack around everyone using bardiche in zamber form *drools*. here's to hoping strikers will become popular enough to spawn one.

i just noticed that the ages for the characters are straying away from the loli age unlike the first series and a's with the exception of elio and kyaro. funny how those two are around the same age as nanoha and fate was in the first 2 series yet elio and kyaro look much younger. well at least there's another guy now to fill in for chrono and for fangirls. as long as fate is in there with all her hotness, i couldn't care less :)

ahaha, well if it's true then i have to say she is :) . actually nanoha looks just as hot in strikers especilly with her hair grown as well as the design of her new barrier jacket....more specifically the miniskirt XD .

sorry, as much as i love the nanoha series, i'm not talented enough to come up with new devices or characters. it'd be impossible to match up to the awesomeness of fate and bardiche for me.

You think a MGLN A's rpg will succeed on this forum? I ask this, because it'll be the first MGLN rpg I have ever created for any forum, since the other forum Kai-chan and I are on do not have much MGLN A's fans.

It's like a story, really simple really like this, an example: "Nanoha...." began Fate. She look at Nanoha, her face began to glow red. "Thank you...for being my friend till now." Nanoha nodded with the wind blowing slightly. Fate smile weakly at her as Nanoha lunged into Fate and hugged her tightly. tears streaming down both their eyes.

oh i see! so then would the next person to post continue the story following the events of the person before? if so, that's neat! anytime you're ready to start let me know.

oh and i just was wondering, were you able to see the dvd versions of both nanoha and a's? i briefly went through a's to see the major changes they've done and loved it. so i was wondering if the dvd version of nanoha was like the a's dvd with the major changes and everything. even though seven arcs made the animation look weird in some places in a's, i still love their artwork. oh and if you watched inukami (seven arcs did the animation to that series as well), did you notice they threw in a parody of nanoha in there? well she appeared in a magazine they were reading.

Hm... I've never read the manga except for chapter 1.. But I think its the blue haired girl in chapter 5 who supposedly intrested in Nanoha because she's a velka type in air division....
What's her name again ?

hmm....i haven't read ch. 5 yet. the most recent i've read was the raw of ch. 4. but the only blue haired girl that i know in the strikers series is subaru nakajima. subaru has blue hair and has the revolver knuckle weapon with her intelligent device being her roller blades named mach caliber(sp?).

Where can you find the manga? I've looked everywhere...

i wouldn't know where to buy the actual A's to StrikerS manga. i got the dl version of it but forgot where i got it from. it's still floating around somewhere on the net though.

Lost Logia. The term lost logia refers to artifacts or technologies from a highly-advanced civilization that collapsed in the universe past. Many of the lost logia are unstable or dangerous, and the Time-Space Administration Bureau (TSAB) is charged with their recovery and supervision. There are many Lost Logia out there in the whole universe and only about three of the infinite are found. The Jewel Seeds, The Book of Darkness or The Tome of the Night Sky, and a red jewel that resided in the Garden of Time. Other than those, there are still many other ones out there, still waiting to be found or worse used by anyone with weak heart or a strong Linker Core (A Linker Core is the internal source of magical power for a magic user in this universe.). It is the TSAB's job to find and seal all Lost Logia, so that they will never be used. Not knowing its immense power, they have specialists in charge of finding, sealing, and transporting them to TSAB's main headquarters for safe-keeping. These specialists are known as a mage. Mage is used to refer to a practitioner of the Mid-Childa magic system in the universe.

Plot
A new Lost Logia has been activated, unknown to the TSAB. The artifact was a standard feather. It's not very fashionable or does it look like anything out of the ordinary. It was just a normal white bird-like feather. However, though it looks like a ordinary feather, it's much more dangerous than it looks. Within this little feather is the dangerous magic that all Lost Logia have. This Lost Logia has the most forbidden magic ever, the ability to control time. As a side-effect for using such magic, the user's life expectancy is cut in half by affecting the body of the master. However when the feather is fully used up, the master is given a wish.
Thankfully, the magic cannot be activated unless it has a master. It is safely buried in Umnari City, Japan from all those that wishes to use it for evil purposes. However, one day, a girl found the feather, not knowing that picking up that feather will change her life forever.

what i meant by "official" is the art is drawn by the animation studio itself or like the ones they have in say for instances the megami magazine. if they are doujin art, they have to be really special in order to please me (yeah i'm picky when it comes to that). i could go for doujin if they are like chibi versions or very cool looking ones that are close to official art.

who's the girl that got the feather?!? i must know! well in other words i like the plot so far. sure it's only a small intro to the story, but it has the nanoha-like beginning so far. the feather kind of reminds me of tsubasa chronicles but it's not a direct ripoff or anything right :) ? more story!
