Seriously, doesn't it hurt when your anime is being called 'gay' or for children, or it sucks and so on. Cause I can't stand people to be saying that an anime is bad, when they don't like it, and they have to screw other peoples happiness by saying how bad that anime is. What if someone says "If you watch this then you need to get a life" or something like "This show is so gay",etc. How would you guys feel if your anime is being insulted like this? I know these things happen a lot. So what would you do? I hate it when people do this!

I do the same thing i do for my games, tell them to get a life them selves, for you have no life if you are complaining about how bad something is in tell every one wants to kill you, or i say something like "Well at least as a child i am more mature than you, i don't conplain about irrelevant things and put people down"

everyone has theyr own personal taste..I do not agree with people that tend to insult or say bad things about what others like >_<
that is not a way of making or keeping friends ^_^' actulay lately a friend of mine sed that about a fav anime of mine that is just a copy of other 2 anime series
well I know that the anime serie that I like was inspired from the other 2 but hearing that from a friend was like ~_~ bleah wtf? why did she sed that o_0

I feel annoyed i mean someone must not diss one anime just cause they did not like it ! U must look at it fo a objective point of view! All or shall i say most anime have there good and bad points that does not mean we must say that anime sucks!

None of my friends know I like anime at school, except for the one who comes on here (nightstar12). I know what would happen if they knew... they base all anime on pokemon, which is for kids, and therefore think all anime is for kids X-O They're just pathetic bas*ards with absolutely no sense of imagination and should rot in a dank hole somewhere.

How come you seem to be offended when people insult anime, but you don't see the offense when you insult other people? I (me personally) think that if you get so hurt by what others think about a storyline, maybe you shouldn't be so attached?

Considering that my favorite anime is Evangelion, which is the most-insulted anime ever..I'm used to it. More importantly, I know that the people who insult it definitely wouldn't do so if it wasn't so popular/damn good.

Everyone has the right of having their own opinions, but knowing how and when to express them is important as well. >_<
Plus, if a person judges something without knowing about what he's judging, the opinion expressed is not even worth to be heard. ^_~

It is up to everyone's preferences. If someone insults an anime, ask for their reason and maybe it will allow u to see the anime from another perspective. Then decide whether he/she is right or wrong after it.

That pisses me off. I feel like killeing the person who insulted my fav character! Especially Byakuya. I love Byakuya, he is my fav character. I cant stand when people insult him! But yes overall it hurts when they insult my fav characters.

I don't care. I'm german and most/all people I know aren't interested in Anime or think it's bullshit for kids like Pokemon/Digimon ect..
Some younger girls read some manga here, dunno, unknown romance stuff...of course germanized (German synchronisations are the HORROR..I can't understand how one can mess up Anime like this..) but gerneally it's pretty unpopular here..there's not even one person (Except for my brother..only a few good Episodes and he started to like Anime) who's interested in Anime...and I failed to make them interested or at least 'Try' it..I even burned some Anime on DVD and gave them as a birthday-gift but no one listens..no one wants to understand it, it's like wtf japanese, idiot?
Oh well I don't care, I can discuss Anime in forums and if someone insults an Anime I praise I don't really care..I didn't make it, I just enjoy it...maybe I'd try to show them what's particulary great in this show and stuff..but why should I feel bad about it?

When someone insults Dragon Ball Z (my fav anime) or just anime in general, I get a little defensive. However I realize that people all have their own opinions and I tell them, "Okay that is your opinion and I respect it. Now please respect mine and keep your negative comments to yourself." If that doesn't work then I usually change the topic.

If my favorite anime was insulted, I wouldn't care. What someone likes is subjective, so if someone doesn't like what I like, I don't see any reason to get angry or upset about it or make a stupid comeback, like others have suggested.

everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to get upset because of what someone else says or thinks is a bit stupid really. So what if someone doesnt like one particular anime, just dont bother to pay attention to them. Plus, even though anime is good, its nothing to get upset over anyways. its just a show, and there's alot more to life than whats on TV anyways.

Me i try to take it a grain of salt everyone has there rights to an opinion. but i look at it like this they make fun of an anime because they don't understand it or just don't like anime. so in the end i say to myself WHO CARES WHAT THEY THINK. they probraly just don't know good shows when they see them.
