Beacuse the 'clean up' on it is visable, in other words not a very good clean up. So you've essentailly taken two separate halves , stuck them together, cleaned out some easy text, clean-ed out some harder text, but left signs of it behind, stuck a horrible filter over the top of it and then shrunk it.
Despite being a whole of the image (instead of two individual halves) it is still a smaller, and worse quality version of what is already in the gallery. So it is treated as a duplicate and therefore deleted.
