Wallpaper in question - Reflection of a Star by Mirukudesu
The main reasons were (as started in the PM sent to you): Poor extraction around the smaller character and the fact that you used "ghosting", which is just duplicating the scan, enlarging it and lowering the opacity/changing the layer mode.
