I personally like how this poem turned out, and it is yet another poem of mine that successfully gets out another jumbled opinion of mine on life in an understandable manner. Yayy. *claps*
Love like in the Dark
Love has become so shallow
It's all about money and looks
It's become just so common
Yet it is not in the books
Cheating and using is not seldom
So many are fake and untrue
Lies are a necessity these days
For a relationship between two
Lust has overpowered love
People have now no control
What is the point of it anymore
You're basically on marital parol
It starts with thier looks
Then to thier state of power
Only a "good catch" do you allow to
Darken your doorway at an early hour
If they could love like you and I do
The way we love like in the dark
The way nothing else matters
But what is in our hearts
In the dark you can't see their looks
It doesn't matter what they do
You know it's now and forever
It matters if they are really true
What all of you long for
You know won't be always there
With age all dies
Except for the love between a true pair
Looks die quickly with age
Good-looks never seem to last long
And when they get fired
You'll just mark the relationship as wrong
Why can't you see with your heart
Why are you so vain
Why do you always put yourself
Through unnecessary pain?
But do as you wish
I can't define who you are
But if you continue this
The path to correction will be far
Your choices are yours though
Lecturing you was my part
But again I will remind you
Try to love like in the dark
