I am very proud of this poem, it is another strong belief of mine that is one of the world's problems. And to solve any confusion, the term "pass the stone" refers to passing the responsibilty and effort and work onto someone else, letting them do it. Enjoy~
Pass the Stone
You say it's someone else's job rather than your own
You refuse to care and instead you pass the stone
So many problems in the world, we can fix them all
But no one will step up, no one will take the fall
Our past is tainted, we're corrupting the future to come
How can you all live like this, how are you so numb
We can't fix the past, no use dwelling on that
But the future is only just coming, you can't just sit back
We've all made so many mistakes that it seems a waste
To stop now, but we can change if we make haste
No matter how much we have all messed up
Everyday is another chance, but that too we corrupt
Even if you are a perfect person who never did wrong
I can guarentee you that that won't last long
And you want to live a simple life you say
But it is our duty, not another's, to make tomorrow a better day
We all must pitch in, to make a better world
But we must first set example for all the boys and girls
Of course it's not that easy, one person has to make it start
After that it's up to us to realize our part
So do what you believe can make the world worth the stay
Stand up and help, no matter what people say
I would love to be the person to start the downfall
Of our mistakes and welcome the new world for all
But if I am, do not leave me alone
And please, please, please do not pass the stone
