I wanted to ask how do you choose your animes? Like the graphic is good or the story is nice or something. For me, I choose animes that have cool pictures or cool looking characters and cute girls.

I like to choose anime wit cool looking characters to. I buy anime magazines and they tell me about many different anime. And some of my friends tell me about good anime to. Or i go on youtube and search anime stuff. or i ask people on this website. so i have many methods. I have a mission to see all good anime. and I also read manga to but they are hard to find here.

well, i choose anime with great effect and animation, as great drawing and paintin, cool characters, etc...

if the anime has those I might watch it, but the main reason i choose an anime to watch is if it has a great history with posibilities of development.

I look to see what the plot is about, the graphics on the box, and hott anime guys are always a plus, hehe. If someone suggests an anime I usually watch it, so I've picked up a lot from this board. :)

for me it's all about the plot, rather it being pg anime or the more adult themed anime, it really doesn't matter about "cute" or "cool graphics" those are a start but if they don't have a good plot and/or a good genre then I'm not interested rather it being a good anime or not...and most often or not if I liked the first movie more often then not I will more than likely like the second one, so that is also a factor

I only choose - and watch - those anime with great plotlines and justified critical acclaim.

Regardless of such (idiotic) cliches as diverse as cute (or hot, or cold, or cool, or masculine, or feminine - whatever) graphics, massive fan bases, or such hallmarks of populist stupidity (like those with Bleach, Naruto, Inuyasha, etc.).

Well in terms of choosing animes I look at the characters first, if the characters are well drawn I like them and sometimes I read the synopsis of the story first before checking it out.

First I start from Genre. Second, I take a look at its character and setting design. and third, and the final criteria, its plot summary. :)

Recently, I've been trying to have a small review of the animes , that I have not watched, here on MT. Specially about those that are widely spoken and recently become the topic of discussion and reviews. It helps me a lot in picking the right anime that suits my taste. :)

The main way that I choose an anime is first impression. If I see a hot guy, ahem, good character designs... I am more inclined to do a little research about the plot of said anime. If the plot (either wikipedia or ANN) sounds interesting, I'll check and see if I can find the first couple of episodes to watch somewhere.

What gets me to stick with an anime is definitely a good storyline that actually goes somewhere or really great character development. (or hot men... j/k! ;))

It's all about the storyline PLUS artwork for me. I mean, an anime can have GREAT artwork, but if the storyline lags or has no point, I immediatly become bored.

Generally- artwork (beautiful women, good design, kickin' curves, well-excecuted art, its all the same to me) has a good impression and thus influence on which anime you view- but then do some research on it, because some friends and myself have judged by looks alone... and it got pretty gross really soon (some people go for that... thats... nice, but I like the way anime transcends art, sound, design, and plot into one symphony of perfection)

Simple... my mood. Sometimes I want mindless action, other times I want romance or comedy. From there it's just the luck of the draw as to which one in that genre I end up watching. Well that and when I see a show getting no love from anybody, I try to watch it in hopes it's good so I can help get it some recognition. Go figure that my love of review writing would be a motivator in which shows I watch.

The ,artwork in general,the story,must have a good first impresion,soundtrack must be at least ok if not very good.I don t care about the genre because each one has something new to give.

I like different kinds of anime. But definitively it has to be good graphic, drawing, good plot/synopsis. Read recommendations on forums, ANN's and Wikipedia's reviews, I search on internet, and You Tube is helping me sometimes etc. :)

I'm strict when it comes to choose a anime, need a good story, and of course, depends humors it express fits my mood, the story and characters goes first,specially the story,so I go to reviews,to know the story and stuff.

I usually look at the genre, story, characters, and graphics and go from there, but my mood also plays a lot.
