As for the first person trying to argue, why try to argue if you know he won't convert that easily?
Also, if I wrote a book entitled "The Bible" for my own religion, filled it with nonsense similar to the actual "Bible," would you believe it too? Would you not because the Bible you think is truth said it's the only truth? So what else do you have to prove? Scientific Evidence IS this generation's ability. We've evolved to this.
We have the technology, and if you deny it, then stop using the things today's technology creates. You in fact, are siding with Science which has created the good food we eat and make. Providing Gas Stoves, Fridges, etc. YOU are "blasphemy" or however you call it. You all who refuse to believe Science are all going against this "God" you believe so much.

God most definately does not exist, and more proof is the amount of people who realize this; which is why there's been a major increase in the number of Atheists out there. If God were real, he could fix this and "help" the "non-believers" or help the world, but doesn't because he doesn't exist. If he did, he'd come down to prove us all wrong. No one can take all the insults many people throw at them and not get mad and do something about it.

I really hate God, butwill show some respect...
He's useless, He say He loves us but He kill us with different diseases and cancer...
He won't really help you when you have troubles...
He just work as a holy statue to be pray at but instead doing nothing...
Furthermore, it's not like after you pray, you will get what you want...
But still, many people believe in Him..

Which came first? The man or the God?

Although if I had to defend God, and I dont, I would probably put it in the only real sense I can. If God exists, and he does indeed love every last one of us, it probably isnt one of those relationships where he cares for anyone specific. Its like having a really annoying bratty kid; some days he's alright, and other days you just want him to go away, but you still have to love him because you created him. So necessarily, God cant care for every little insignificant thing we do, he's playing the role of the fair parent. A type of person that is unbiased either way about whatever we do to ourselves or each other.

Well there is no solid scientific proof that god does exist but than again there is no scientific proof that says god doesn't exist.

So it is one of those matters of faith.
Plain and simple.

The reason He "doesn't guide us" is because we have free will. Like if our parents told us to do something, we don't necessarily need to do it right? And also, most of the time we don't want Him to guide us because we want to do our own thing. Well at least in my life I would rather do my own thing than listen to God. :D And seriously, if He could just make us all do good and not get in trouble, we'd all be robots and life would be pretty meaningless I guess.

And bad things generally make us turn to God (or otherwise get angry at Him LOL) and when we are at our weakest and everything looks bleak and it seems like we can't get out, that's when God helps us out. Of course, if we want Him to. He won't help if we don't want help. And when I say "when we want help" I mean when we really really really want help. Not just like, "oh it'd be really nice if you could make things better" but "Ok God, I can't do this anymore on my own, PLEASE EFFIN HELP ME NAO. D:" and He'll say, "you have to give this thing over to me, you can't hold onto it anymore and try to do it yourself. If you want my help, you have to give it all to me." (which is a good thing btw, He's so much better than us at planning and straightening out our lives :D) and if you say "WHUT NO I WANNA CONTROL MY OWN LIFE" He'll back off and be like "ok, if that's what you want". So in the end it's all our own fault. Which sucks, but ah well.

Lol, speaking on sickness...God probably does have a cure, but who can listen to Him clearly enough to get it? And as for faster discoveries, I have no idea. He probably has his reasons, I just don't know them. lllorz Though personally I would like the answer to that question too...

He does have the power to cure us, help us! :D But since the world is the Devil's, He doesn't come in full power as often as I would like.. And other times we are not cured because it helps strengthen our faith, because praying for something and not getting it sucks but if we keep on praying, then that means that we have faith in Him to keep on asking Him for deliverance when we are not getting results. So when there are times later when we go through trials in life we won't fall away as quickly. But if we always got what we wanted, then we would be spoiled brats who would run the minute something bad came our way. And something bad always comes our way. D:

OK, let us assume for our purposes that he/she/it/whatever exists.

So he doesn't guide us, because doing so would strip us of our thinking faculties, thus denying our right to live our lives as we choose.

But wait, what is hell for, then? Some extra space because heaven isn't big enough to contain all manner of freethinkers?

He does have the power to cure us, help us! :D But since the world is the Devil's, He doesn't come in full power as often as I would like...

I agree with you.. if you sleep, it mean (logically) you'd die. but you still alive till now.. do you know why your heart still working when you're asleep?

Time to have fun (sorta, in my own weird way)

There's a difference between sleep, and death. Sleep your brain still function, your heart still functions. Why your heart functions is cause your brain is still processing information (whether you like it or not, albeit subtle). Sleep isn't just so you can get a nice rest and rest all your muscles and stuff. Sleep helps recover your brain (quite literally) so that it can go at peak performance (supposedly). If you don't have sleep for a certain amount of time (around 72 hours), your brain 'will' forcefully shut your body down in order to recover itself. You can also call sleep a 'temporary comatose' (coma).

Now, for being dead, when you're dead, your bodily functions do not work, therefore you are... well, dead.

I'm not going to go through the whole free will crap that has been going on forever and ever and ever and the paradoxes that it all has, cause its really annoying by now.
