i was just wondering....it wasnt too long ago before i realised what OSTs were in relation to animes and AMVs.
the first time i ever came across listening a downloaded audio file of an OST was to the anime 'fushigi yuugi' (OP song i think it was)
i would just like to know what were the first ever OST that you have downloaded or have come across with (if you remember) :\
Probably "Ryote Ippai" by Shoko Suzuki. It's one of the ending themes to the "Heroic Legend of Arislan" OAVs, and still to this date one of my favorite anime themes.
Not being the biggest anime music fan in the world, I don't really have a lot of downloaded stuff. Most of my anime MP3s comes from my own CDs (for the benefit of using them on my MP3 player.)
my first ost was Saint seiya 2 years ago!now I have sailor moon, ouran high school host club, shugo chara, dn Angel and maybe some other anime but I don' t remember...there are so many music in anime and I don't listen to all music osts..

Gundam Seed, it was pretty much the first anime I watch, and beacuse of that I was hooked on to animes.

I'm pretty sure it was something Cardcaptor Sakura, because that was the first subs-only show that I watched--when I actually would BUY them, but I can't remember what song it was... pretty sure it had to be "Catch You, Catch Me." I remember being really into it because my friend copied a mix tape (yes, TAPE) of some of the character songs and opening/ending themes, and I would try and figure out which song was what (because she didn't bother giving me song titles and all), by looking up the lyrics on a REALLY old CCS lyrics site. I don't even think that site is up any more, that was like, seven or eight years ago. But it was definetly because of that tape that 90% of my listening music is in Japanese OR from a Japanese show, game or anime.

I think it was Sailor Moon! I loved the music from that anime! It suited my moods perfectly! It was both sad and funny, it had great lyrics and also piano, orchestra and orgel versions of the songs. Quite nice...Now, when I hear these songs, they remind me of wonderful moments from my childhood!

I think it was the ending song of Inuyasha.
Gundam SEED for me. I wasn't into anime OST before that.

The first was Haibane Renmei ost and the second Elfen Lied ost, I like the one for Haibane Renmei the most.

My first OST ever i download was fly me to the moon from evangelion.
First time i heard it make feel... sad, moved, and so many feeling that i can,t imagine.

Lol, my first was Rurouni Kenshin as well. ^_^ It seems to be a popular first soundtrack. ;)
