I voted that I never used it and don't want it to return. Although I understand how it could be helpful to people, I think it caused a lot of confusion, and also made it easier for people to rip. I would suggest just using bigger thumbnails in the first place, so that the options are simple again (although that wouldn't solve the ripping problem).
If it does return though, I wouldn't really mind.I'm ready now...

Like ASH Hikari said, I found it a bit inconvenient, since it allows people to rip artwork. Also, I found it unpleasant because I clicked on the thumbnail image, since I was used to it, and got a low-quality, resized version of the actual artwork. Personally, I wouldn't miss it if it went away >_>

I honestly believe the preview isn't useful.
I once clicked it by accident and the work viewed doesn't have the same quality as in full-view. I think the thumbnail is enough of a preview.
Besides, with the improved Credit system, the new members won't have any trouble at all loosing some credits for a download.

Voted for "I never used it and don't want it to return". It's just like Ash & pandemoniumm-san said. Plus, I'm also in the same situation as pande-san ^^ I'm used to downloading images from the thumbnail, so.. it's a bit annoying.

I love using the free preview feature because i see many beautiful pic which i really would love to see them in their full size. If i have to use my credit, i will have to restrain myself.
I think this free preview can be restricted to only member of Minitokyo only. it doesnt have to open to public.

Quote by ASH-HikariI think it caused a lot of confusion, and also made it easier for people to rip.
Rip, as in, download it for free and then submit it again? With the free download quota, rippers could do that anyway.

I never use the free preview and have found it annoying how I couldn't click the image to get full size and had to use the download link on the side. Also when you introduced this system there were many errors occurring throughout Minitokyo much more frequently than ever.

Let's just say I found it annoying because like the other says,we have to use the download link to download the full version(while sometimes the download link is gone when bugs occurs) and as a waller I prefer people to just download the full version of my work instead of the lowered quality of it because they want to save their download quota. And aren't it just a waste of bandwidth?
A bigger thumbnail as the others mentioned are far more convenient. In Honor of my most trusted friend and irreplaceable mentor

i voted for "I occasionally used it but I'm indifferent about it." Because i prefer the higher definitions of wallpapers and scans. the free preview download is good but, that why people are able to rip them easily, if they want it they should either use their 5 free quota, or credits. It's only fair to the other people who do.
but I'm indifferent because well what can i say, something you just want to see the wallpaper, and maybe it isn't worth the credits cause well it's badly made or something like that, than you'll be wasting credits. But also indifferent as i have lots of credits... so i don't really use them, seeing as i accumulated like lots...
however sheqel, whatever the choice made, i'll respect it~ ^-^

i've used it a couple of times, sometimes by accident, personally i don't really mind it, it's useful if i wanna know if the artwork's worth downloading, but sometimes the thumb already says it all so...

I occasionally use it, especially to examine vectors to see what I can learn from other people's works.

I voted for occasionally using it and wouldn't mind if it stayed. Usually the thumb image is enough, but I used the feature a few times so that I could see if an image was worth downloading.
However, I can understand also why some people would not like the feature to stay. There did seem to be a lot of problems on the Minitokyo website when the free previews were enabled.
Perhaps the individual uploader of an image can have the choice whether or not to permit a free preview? It's just an idea. Whatever is decided in this matter shall work for me. :)

The only time I've used the preview (purposely) is when a scan is really really big, and I just want a smaller version of it to make an icon or banner or something, and it's nice to be able to copy it to my clipboard (images that are too big won't copy for me). But I don't care if it disappears.
if it does come back, I'd like it to see the download button underneath, instead of at the side. so it doesn't confuse new members. Also, would it be possible to have a javascript-based preview instead of clicking to take you to a new page?
As for thumbnails, I don't think they need to be bigger. I say this because people already use thumbnails to post in group guestbooks and stuff, so if the thumbnails get bigger, we're gonna have all these huge images everywhere DX

"I never used it, I'm indifferent about it."
Like stated, I never used it, but it didn't exactly bother me so to me it doesn't matter of it's removed or makes a comeback.

I don't really use the download preview too much, but I don't mind if people use it. They probably want to check out the picture they want before wasting their credits.

My vote for "I never used it and would like it to not return"
I like to see the actual size of wallpapers and scans. I prefer to look at them at their best version as possible. I appreciate all the works here in MT and I almost never used the free preview download button unless the paid download link doesn't work.
At first, the free download preview button confuses me. I'm not sure which button to click and I see 2 buttons together which function the same thing just different in sizes. I also find the free preview troublesome whenever I click on the thumbnail. As for the thumbnails, I think they are fine with the current sizes. They don't take up much space and I can view a page faster.
Lastly, I don't think the free preview would serve up to the purpose of having them around in MT anymore.

I used it sometimes, it's useful for checking a picture details in a quicker way than downloading it, especially when I just need a reference or just want to see a picture better before commenting on it (mostly cases, this is true about scans).
But I can live without it too...~Life is happening somewhere else from here

I never really used it and I won't really care all that much if it comes back or not...
...if it is gone for good though, it would probably be more convenient to have
slightly bugger thumbnails when it comes to higher-res scans...just a suggestion.(\ /)

I never used it and I've never needed to. I've always had enough credits to do so - so that might be the reason. For me, I know when I want to download someone's work... I can usually/almost always tell by the thumbnail. ^^

I think it's a nice feature. A good way to build credits upward. I don't mind paying for the credits per submission. I don't mind the pay as you go. Thanxs for making Mini Tokyo a fun a safe place to come and relax. :-)
