Wow, what a pessimist. That's such a boring way of thinking. The fact is there is no real meaning to life because it tends to be different from person to person. Are you living in such a way that you see no other meaning in life other than death? And just for the record, I'm not really a religious person, I just follow the ideas of Haruhiism.

In the immortal words of the Monty Python's "It's nothing very special really. Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."

I don't know. I think the meaning of life is to find the meaning of your own life. We all have a reason to be here. Whether it's to be the next big musician or to take care of someone special. But for a lot of people I think it's hard to figure out why they're on earth, but I think we all have a purpose one way or another. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong.

The meaning of life...... hmm, tricky, I think that we are here by random chance generated in quadrillions of years and our planet was seeded by alien capsules. Do your best to succeed and hopelessness and depression won't get anybody anywhere. However everything will have to eventually come down to nothing in the eventual anti-big-bang hypothesized by astrologers so the real purpose in life is to enjoy yourself and help everyone around you do the same. That is why I believe we are here and whatever immortals exist created us for.

I know that sort of feeling, I've had it too. I think that technically, according to Nature, it's to continue the human specie's survival, but really, that isn't something to be concerned about at the present. Just try to live through life in a positive way, then you'll enjoy it till death. Suiciding isn't a wise action, who knows what'll happen to your conscience at death, and do consider the feelings of the ones close to you.

You will meet more suffering days than happy ones so you got to be mentally strong enough to suppress the suffering and appreciate the happy ones. The happiest person wins you know ;)

Humans are curious, don't suppress it by camping at home.

to me the meaning of life has changed...I use to believe we were born to die...but that is only partly correct...for in truth we are born to live life to the fullest and then die...for death is eventual until the creation of prolonged life or even immortality, but I refuse to hide any longer and just suffer for all my life...I use to but now I am in no mood to do so..

I think that you have to fight for something to say that your life has a meaning, you have to ask yoursef: "What am I living for?". If you can aswer that question, then your life has a meaning.

i think life=selfishness....it's like the concept of love: the reason why people "love" eachother is because they don't want to be alone. if you really think about it, this world abide by a "give and take" rule: there is always profit or loss to be gained. The majority of people don't want to see this reality because all their beliefs and morals and opinions are really just shaped by the majoriy's concepts and ideas. to realize this is to wake up to the reality that all that an individual believes is their own, isn't! of course, this does not mean that the world is separated into black-and-white, there are always those who chooses to fight this system and "make" their own path XD

thus, life is really how people define it themselves, whether it is to: live it to make more money, live for the selfishness of others, to just keep on breathing, to end it short, to live it fighting the inevitable, or to just live for yourself. each and every individual lives to define themselves and how to live it.

but true, when there is life, there is also death. but try to think that in death, there is a continuous cycle that maybe you are not living it, but you have influenced it for others. think a spiral or the Ghandi Paradox: every person and event is influenced by another, you might not see it now but later in life (when you go back and look at the road you've travelled) you'll see that even the smallest things has contributed to make you who you are today XD

so i encourage you to define your life the way you want to define it! ^>.<

(oh! O.O and i'm really not a pessimistic person, just been thinking about many things and discovering my own unique ideas and concepts that are quite "peculiar" to the majority's standards XP even though many people think that i should belong in a mental institute and get "cured", i think to myself: true genius is almost never recognized until people are actually willing to shut-up and listen. so keep on defining and shaping oneself to one's own standards and one day some people (not a whole bunch, but those who really matters) will understand and respect you XD)

Well I don't think that this kind of question can be answered directly, however, if you start seeing a glass of water half-full instead of half-empty will probably help you in order to see the positive way of life and at the same time the meaning too :)

Your life means exactly what you want it to mean. There is no thing such as an universal meaning to life or "why we are here". All we have left in life is time, we don't know how much, but it is for sure that we can choose what to do with it. If you choose to enjoy life and everything that comes with it, then you're bound to leading a happy life.

Just like what the Depeche Mode guys said: Enjoy the Silence (I like the Lacuna Coil version better xD)

Sometimes just making someone else happy will also bring joy to your life. Sometimes just listening to your favorite song while all alone or just laying in the grass while watching the sky.

Life is all about enjoying what we have, fighting hard for what we want and making it all better for those who need it. You don't need to be a hero. You just need to have the guts to live everyday as if it was your last.

Meaning of life? For me meaning of life is to find a reason and I have found out the reason, the reason why we are here... It is to die... But now we are here we can ONLY do the thing we can do!
