I study karate although I am just in my senior white belt (graded last week). If I'm able to "master" it I'll like to learn kung fu if life permits me.

Cancel

I'd like to learn some martial arts.
But I'm so loaded with finishing college and work, and tuition...
I'll be too old by the time I wish to do it!

There can never have been "nothing,"
for "something" would have to have been there to make it so.

Hell yea! Martial arts is AWESOME! I am currently learning spear at my martial arts and internationnal long fist!

I would really like to get back into it but I took Shao-lin Gung Fo for a little over a year and learned some amazing things. Unfortunately moving terminated my chances of still attending. I would go back in a heart beat though.

I've been learning tae kwon do for a couple years now and I love it.

Labels are for cans. I'm not a f*cking can.

I did a few years on Aikido and Juitsu. Oh and half a year iaido.

Does Larp training count as a martial art? Just kidding!

I dont study anything anymore. As a kid I used to do Karate, but I wouldn't mind picking up a different kind of art form. :D

I've been doing judo since I'm 5 years old. It's very interesting...
And I begun to do kendo this year... And it really is not the same sensations than judo... new moving, new spirit...
After having begun kendo, I think that each martial art produce a different spirit.
For example, judo needs reflexes, and to use the strength of the opponent, whereas in kendo, we need more concentration, and precision.
But judo always be the best to me ! :p

While there's life, there's hope

Currently I'm studying Nanbudo at the High School I'm attending to.

I studied aikido and judo for a couple of years, though that was quite a while ago, and I don't consciously remember much besides how to fall. (But oh, the falling is so fun -- and useful!) I've also learned some knife fighting, sword, and staff, partly with SCA and the Ren Faire guild I'm part of.

Wish I had more time to do it -- and space to set a target up for knife-throwing as well, though I don't have the blades for that now.

I have swords and everything ( i love sword!) but sadly the only place that gives Aikido in my country is at the other side of the country (tooo farrrr) so I can't go...and is expensive too. But the sensei at the dojo is japanese and he has won competetions and everything in Japan, so he is like....wow a great sensei, and they say he is a very, very good sensei (that's why he is soooo expensive...). >_<

I have studied pencak silat here in my country (Indonesia) for one and a half year. But it was almost 2 to 3 years ago, and I rarely did any practice on the moves... But it feels good when you did a punch or kick correctly. You can almost feel your sparring opponent or something like that thrown back pretty hard...

Oh yeah, and the moves of pencak silat is pretty complicated too you know, you have to follow the rules every time you move, so you cannot just punch, kick, or block as you want. Because they say it was also an art... And it's one of the essential things in the martial art of pencak silat...
