Indeed, Tomoyo Daidouji is for many reasosns the best character created by clamp, so much in design as the character itself!

That would have to be Yasha and Ashura from RG Veda.
Sure, Sakura in CCS is cute, and the re-construction of the carachters in Tsubasa Rereirvor is rocking now, but how the relationship betwen those two was built, the promise of never leaving each other, the cruelty, Yasha walking the path of a dark destiny, and the tear-jerking way of how Ashura broke that same destiny hasn't been toped again by CLAMP
