I was looking in my list of groups and I noticed that one of the groups that I am a Admin of was not in my list at all. I typed in the name and I noticed that the group does not exist. I know it had not had any activity for a while so I wondered if it was deleted or if something else happened.

Groups with no recent activity are subject to deletion, so looks like that's what happened.

gen I would like to know this too, I know of some groups that had such high hopes but the admin/s is/are nowhere to be seen and it would be cool to have the option within a group first before taking the group down completely so the group could stay alive just with one of the older active group member...like year, etc

If there is a group that your a member of that's pretty much inactive, then PM one of us and let us know and we will put someone as admin. You can even PM about this specifically if you want.
If you don't do anything then how are we to know anyone actually cares about the group anymore. How long before a group gets the axe? I don't really know so I can't say. But I don't believe it's only after a few weeks of being dead.
