All people know Dragon Ball, and they've seen or read the story.... But in 3 minutes this serie died when I saw the trailer from the Fox's movie "Dragonball evolution" =S

Also I need to say, i did'nt understand anything about the movie... If i didn't see the typical clothes i never know who is Goku, and ¿Piccolo?... i can know that he is 'cuz is green... well A green like if someone wants to go to the toilet 4 throw out ¬¬.... I won't write about the other caracters cuz i don't know who is who XD!

However the dragon is cool and the central theme "Rule" from Ayumi Hamasaki is 100% japanese, the problem is that in the international trailers the song anybody hear it =S.

I know already from seeing the credits that it won't be good. At this point they are beating a dead horse, even though Dragon Ball Z was a good series.

When nothing makes sense, I'll fight believing only in myself.

with a caucasian goku, I thought there's no way he'll turn super saiyan... but i saw he wasnt blond and i was relieved... I mean I wouldnt watch it either way but ya noe
and I dont think Chow Yun Fat has a turtle shell, sunglasses or r-rated magazine according to the trailer
anyway i thought the movie was a mockery to the whole dragonball series.... death to crap remakes

Lol with only the trailer i almost puked.
Its not dragonball. Its some stupid hollywood film, just it.
You can say MATRIX got more from GHOST IN THE SHELL than this film got from Dragonball.

Not really... Transformers did fairly well, and that's "kinda" anime. And what I've heard of Cowboy Bebop sounds hesitantly optimistic.
But yes, a live action remake of an anime is generally a bad idea.

I don't know... Looking at only spider-man/batman movies of yesteryear would have convinced me that a good superhero movie was impossible. With just the right story and great special effects... But I guess it still is a difficult trick to pull off... Maybe with a Goku/Vegeta origin story where Goku has to save the Earth from an all-powerful Vegeta who's might and wrath is responsible for the destruction of cities and such? Or how about Goku and the gang fighting off the android menace and Cell?


What if they had called it something completely different? What if it had no association with Dragonball whatsoever? I don't know. A show of technological muscle and a name like "League of Force" or something about superhuman space fighters fighting and destroying everything in their path...

I think this movie is the worst from everything I thought this movie maybe at least have some similarity from the manga at least but it even worst it like nightmare on elm street x_x x_x x_x

Saw a commercial for it on TV and didn't even realize that it was for Dragonball until they specifically mentioned it.

Me and my friends were talking during class about how the guy playing Goku was too skinny and that they should've casted a super buff dude to play him. xD

I've already seen the movie, and it's fairly appalling. Other than people having the same names and the fact that people are looking for Dragon Balls, the movie doesn't really bear any resemblance to the series. There's no real plot, much of the acting is shaky at best, and it's probably got to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen in all. I thought it would be good to at least laugh at, but the movie's so bad that I couldn't even do that. Two thumbs down for me.

the cast sux big time
they dun look like what they are suppose to look like
it's so totally disgusting
seems to me US just wants to gain the big profit
and dun give a damn about producing good quality stuff

they dun seem to have brains!
i mean the origin of the characters are asian
so they should use asian actors rite
they are just rushing to be the first to do a live action
before japan does it first

though i like the dubbing of the trailer in japanese

How cynical can these Hollywood execs be? Apparently, the key to any adaptation is to set it in high school, and make the kid some loser teenager who can’t get laid. I read the plot on Wikipedia, and it's borderline offensive to the intelligence.

I loved the movie o.0'
At least I watched it with interest, unlike Twilight for example where I was counting the minutes till its end .___.'
I think the actor for Goku was cute, ChiChi looked like a slut though and Bulma was also really cute and just like the DB Bulma a mecha otaku with weird hairstyle XD
The movie didn't plan on making an exact DB plot, it's just based on the anime, but the rest is all original.
I always wanted to see Goku in highschool XD I'm glad the movie made my wish come true.
I didn't like Piccolo though, he looked like some lame Transformers villain. The battle scenes were also way too Mortal Combat, but overall I enjoyed the movie.
The original DB script was indeed butchered by this movie, but I watched it pretending I didn't know much about DB, so I liked it.

I think that the move was a waste of time. Had nothing related to the series other than character names and abit of the story. Also the made up story for the movie fell out with mee, did not make we want to see more.

Total devolution. I think since I've seen the trailer for the first time, I know Dragonball Evolution is a disaster waiting to happen
