Why is CLAMP's works so confusing?

Like Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles for example. the latest chapter just came out but i was lost once again! it's just too confusing with fate, destiny, clones, etc. WHY WHY?!?!?!?! I don't get it. And it's just so sad and depressing. Do you really think tsubasa RC will end up happily or sad and someone will die eventually? Will someone please tell me? (sorry if i'm overreacting. OX)

not really a tsubasa fan but with clamp I have learned they like to push it to extreme, there's x, angel sanctuary and more..

Yes CLAMP do make confusing things. But i think everything will be clearing up to the end. But the way to the end is so cunfusing! I do agree with you!

Actually, Angel Sanctuary belongs to Kaori Yuki, not CLAMP.

Tsubasa Chronicle, yes really confusing cause there's a lot of CLAMP character cross overs but I don't know much about the story. As I know, the story is good and I'm not too cofused about the story.

It can be confusing, but a big point with CLAMP is to re-watch or re-read whatever work you've been tracking. CLAMP tends to push extremely scientific and complex moral thoughts whenever they can, and it may leave the viewer going 'wth now?' I think the whole thing is mostly confusing because CLAMP smashed all these plots together into one. Each work done by CLAMP is chalked full with morals, theories, science and intellegence, so to bring various complicated theories into one story is fingernail-biting worthy. It takes a long time to understand the main themes of MKR! and Card Captor Sakura and Holic (etc...), and CLAMP will throw all the themes of one creation into a few chapters or episodes and then move on. All the while, CLAMP is taking each individual storyline and threading it with Tsubasa's mainstream plot. It is very, very confusing at times.

That is why CLAMP can be an utter mess. As for happiness, I think it will all work out in the end even if somebody dies. CLAMP usually always ends on a sweet note.

The panelling isn't organized at all. It's too busy, over-complicated and hard to read. Their story-line is also hard to follow. Presentation of said story is unorganized as well. meh.

I agree with Noella75. Their paneling is so disorderly and overlapping that it's sometimes hard to tell what's going on. And not to mention, they have so many characters that look similar. Especially in TRC. Which I love, don't get me wrong, but I get depressed whenever I read it, lol. They also do all of that swirly stuff that can obscure details and faces and what-not.

I don't really think It's confusing, I mean they explained everything about clones in 224 chapter... Anyway, I'm tsubasa fan and I really think it's very interesting, and now it seems like it will end soon, I hope they'll show what happened to Yuuko-san...

I know! Can you believe that cycle of everything has to go AGAIN! I mean it's like nonsense. Why don't they get straight to the point? AND there's two sakuras and two syaorans. And why did Yuuko the witch died again? I'm confused. That's my point.

Simple: CLAMP is bad, and bad for your health.

I figure the reason they are called CLAMP is because they get a "clamp" around your soul (spirit, chi, whatever it is... ) and throat, and they NEVER LET GO!

They even had me for a *short* (RG Veda...) period of time.... fortunately I was able to break free. ^_^

Life is cruel, why should I be any different!?

Tsubasa is really the only series that I found to really be confusing. A lot of CLAMP's stories have deep concepts behind them but are presented in a more orderly manner. Stories like Magic Knight Rayearth and CardCaptor Sakura have deep concepts within them, but you don't really get lost trying to understand what the heck is going on, right? It's fairly simple with ideals that are laced in to them.

My problem with Tsubasa is that I personally feel they tried to throw too much together at one time. At the beginning the story itself felt smooth and was gradually bringing forth different ideas in to the storyline for the reader to think about, but once they reached Tokyo arc it felt like all hell broke loose for the characters and the reader. Rather than bombarding the audience with so many different things they should have found a few and delved deeper in to those in particular.

But that's just how I feel. I've loved CLAMP up until this point, but if I hadn't started reading Tsubasa at the beginning and just started, I would have never bought this series for the reasons I stated, plus it's so dang long. X_x My wallet hurts, but if i don't finish the series my brain will eat itself.

because it has a bit psycology thingy in the stories that makes it confused, i kinda prefer that kind of story, it helps us think about it and the stories get more interesting

Because they're CLAMP - - They have their own way of thinking and seem to be proud of it. Maybe they really intend to make their mangas confused on purpose. Anyways, i've already given up to understand them

In other word, they make thing confused so they can sell their own magazines or sth anniversary afterward (JK LOL)

Yeah! Confusing! Improving that members of CLAMP also think hard for the story making...
But the stories make we curious and in the ending of stories are almost satisfying! ^^
