Btw, your reason for not wanting it, of how non-anime fans will get into it and how hollywood is stealing ideas, that's a contradiction.
Japanese people probably hate Americans for taking their anime, think about that.
Anime was theirs, then it became subbed/dubbed. Their music, taken and now we listen to it.
We've become fans of something that's theirs. :D

I would give it a try despite americans tend to screw up..Wont even talk about Dragon ball lolol!Its their problem..if you dont like just dont watch xD
i cant see an american actor for L role lolol but ohh well i dont want to even think about it and about Zack being Light hum...i dont think hes a good choice..i cant imagine him acting like im gonna kill you all but ohh well, everyone deserves a chance so i wont say anything else lolol

I'm 100% against the US Death Note. I mean come in! Have you watched the japanese live action films? They were horrible! nothing like the anime or manga. How can the US version be any good if the Japanese didn't film a good version. I wish they would stop raping Death Note anime/manga which is a masterpiece.

I actually think it will possibly be a little bit better than the original Death Note movies. Mainly because the US version is supposed to follow the manga better.
