Hey, guys I was just wondering if you think anime girls are better then real ones? Personally I would take a anime girl at the drop of a hat, I do believe that both sides bring some good reasons to like the other but, to truthfully answer this question you must ask yourself this question:

"Which girl would you want to live the rest of your life with anime or real ?

I think the same applies to "fake" men. The reason is: because they are always gorgeous, will never betray you and if you get tired of a "fake" man/woman nobody will suffer from the lose. :P

it's a new phase now it's called in love with a 2d girl...it's where men/women give up real relationships and attend to anime related girls...it's quite popular amongst the japanese males...me personally, I prefer the real thing...rather face/have a nagging person that's real over someone that's perfect and not real...just my opinion though

Well, it's the same thing if you only dream of Eva Mendez or Megan Fox, or Halle Berry, or Beyonce, or Salma Hayek... or anyone beyond your reach, even if you call it platonic.

Anime girls fullfil any male's dreams: they are either sexy, or submissive, or wild, or (the highest gift of Japan to worldwide male's fantasies) the "innocent-pervert" lolita...

But, let's face it, they're only drawings... real woman are real persons with real sentimental needs, and feelings, and dreams and "learning" how to establish a relationship from manga and anime won't get you one.

Real people are THAT difficult. (*sigh*) -.-

By the way... japanese women are cute and beatiful, but they generally look younger that they really are, and usually full-grown women look like girls... so anime girls could be reflecting a reality that happens only in Japan or Asia and that doesn't really fit occidental women physiology... translated: if you (like I) live in Occident, better stop dreaming of lolitas. IT'S ILEGAL!

Just kidding...I do agree, anime girls are somehow perfect, and in my perfect universe I would be dating someone like Arcueid Brunestud or Rin Tohsaka. But I'm not delusional...I do like 3D girls, and I know very well that a 2D girl can never love you back like a 3D one can.

Thank you all for your comments, I've actually been going around various anime form sites and posting similar threads for my research. Your responses are completely opposite from some of my other threads, but non the less it is a great learning experience. I want to see how far the human imagination can go, and I want to see if that imagination can destroy us. I've talked to a multitude of people and alot seem to like anime girls in general for their different likable traits. But as some of you have clearly pointed out drawings are nothing more than IDEAS.
But the real question is why are these ideas effecting us so deeply?

Anime girls are cute but the disvantage is that they are 2d characters and are only on paper, I know there are chars that for its personality or look one one would wish that they were real, but a real girl is a person, is real and there are so much cute real girls in the world, everyone is especial too.... ;)

This reminds me the news about a guy that solicited signatures in the internet to make legal the marriage with a 2d-chara, but I wonder... how can you kiss a 2d chara?, how you can hug him/her? :S

You're implying this guy as some total loser. I mean seriously.... being obsessed with a 2d chick I would classify as a minor-mediocre mental problem. I got OCPD and that's a mental problem too.
Real life partners aren't as perfect as anime girls (or dudes) and I mean in a faithful sense, not looks or otherwise.

And to the people here. Hey "normies" what if the guy (like me) can't get a gf? Sure I'd be made fun off as a total loser (which I am since I find pleasure in fantasizing not in anime chicks but in really hot real ones), but thats really all I could get. If all you care about is the physical part of a woman than 2D woman are perfect for you. I think so because you can stare at them all you want and not be persecuted! xD But if you want a long term relationship with someone who will return your love than a real woman is what you need. i will stick to reality. anime girls or guys are great but they are juz your imagination. u can basically shape them anyhow till they satisfy your expectations. they are almost PERFECT in certain sense. but i would prefer the in-perfect another one to spend the rest of my life with. we can mutually perfect our in-perfect world. hahaha.... You know I have always thought that the reason I watch anime is because the girls in it are perfect. Not a flaw about them. But the thing no matter how beautiful the anime girl is it won't compare to the love of a real person.
