i didn't know if this was considered too philosophical for this section, but it related to games.

I have played games on and off and personally I don't really play that many games, I mean an avid gamer would be at least someone that would pick up the system at least more than every few months, I've had just about every system out there, and I will wait patiently to see what games will come to a system to buy it, like I got the ds when I learned of certain games coming to the system...would that not still be considered an avid gamer just a selective one, because once I get a hold of a game I like I will play it until I either get bored with it, can't beat it any more...so no probably not avid probably just a hobby or something...hope others can help you out here, and this is a good place for this or city hall since it is asking serious question but I have to admit because of anime that's normally what has me buy said console/system

what a majority of the games i have played help me keep the small part of my imagination which i love having... some other games such as Call of Duty help me with some survival problems some can go through, but by playing games it halps me think about them in a much deeper level, thus producing thought of a greater game, which helps me with my writing :) i could never stop playing video games for too long of a time

Games have both good and bad influences in me for example
Good: I do not smoke, I do not drink beer, I do not do drugs, I did not any gangs/fraternities, etc.
Bad: I became addicted to games that I often skip school just to play and that really affects my grades to a major
downfall, I became less sociable to others because they see me as a gamer and not as a classmate, health problems like
stress from too much playing, lack of sleep, getting less physically oriented due to lack of exercise, and stiff like
that

When I was a teenager, I loved playing some games cuz they made me work out my brain, think a lot, and become better in
them. So I played a lot of RTS and it was good, really good.
Now I just play to have fun... shooters rpgs etc. but I've been thinking of becoming again a semi pro rts player lol. I
love well designed challenges.

Fun.
