Well, an avatar is used to represent yourself in the web. So I use pictures of characters I feel close to me. Male or female is not important, now it's Yuko (Tsubasa and xxxHolic), but one of my other favourites is Lavi (DGM).

No matter where we go, it's just battles, battles, battles... I get it already, that humans are stupid.

I agree with GreenArcherAlchemist, but sometimes it a picture that doesn't represent yourself at all. I think it is more towards appealing, interesting, or just to see your favorite picture next to your name. The avatar I have doesn't represent me at all. I just like the look of it next to my name, just like what x-Hitodama-x said. I'm a male and I used cool/favorite male characters, appealing/favorite female characters, and anything that I find cute or funny. (eerrrr....That didn't sound right at the end)

i don,t use female avatars
i think maybe some guys prefer girl,s pics for they avatar,
because they think those are beaty than guys pic or something like this?

Yeah same here..im using a male avatar and im female..guess its the same to guys..they also have the right to put their favourite character in their avatar even its a female one ^^ that doenst mean anything..
In online games you see a lot of boys using a female character even if they have the same class for male for an example
