Before you decide to read the rest of the thread. I like to warning you this thread is for adult and mature audience. I feel is one of big issue that need to be address even though not many people talk about it. I know this is not the first time you hear this story. About student having sex with their teacher to get a "A" for the class or to just pass the class. I like your input on this subject. How wrong it is and why there people do it?

For myself, I wound never do it. Grade are important. Not as important what I see myself. Is just wrong.

I think it'd be stupid if that was the only viable option for you to get a good grade in a class.

If you're not smart enough for the class, you obviously shouldn't be there. Not screwing to look good. All that'll do is end up with legal issues... a possibly fired teacher... or a screwed up career cause you looked good at something you sucked at.

hmm jail bait at it's finest that's how i view it...the teacher should be arrested for rape and filed charges regardless of the country and regardless of taboo crap...wrong is wrong regardless of how and where it comes from..the innocence of the youth is long gone no need to try to recapture it and hang onto it for as long as possible

I think it all depends on the situation. Say the Student is in high school and hit 18 early in the year. Maybe the teacher just got out of college and is just starting their new job, at said school, and is around 24, 25-ish. Schooling for being a teacher is roughly 4-6 years, and by the time a person's 18, that's not too big of an Age gap. Not... TOO big. Anyway, my point is, maybe the student is already getting good grades, and they and the teacher hit it off and... blah blah blah, details. But I realize this isn't always the case. Some say, love knows no age or gender. but I wonder if the same is true for sex?

Of course it's not right, but there are many things that are worse, morally-wise.
There are many people who're trying to gain advantage with such "cheats", but in this case, no one is really harmed. Unless it comes out and the teacher gets fired, of course ^^

In the end, the person who does understand and has learnt the work comes out on top, because they are all the better for it.

I think it's the same for sex- no limits to age or gender (I mean, look at Hugh Hef! Whew!)... but only when reaching the point where the people invloved are mature enough to know what they are doing and make choices accordingly of course.

Pardon me for a moment while I break this down for myself, (where quotation marks may mistakenly imply sarcasm, they really indicate paraphrasing)

For a 'Teacher-Student; The mysterious case of the D- to A student' situation to be sexual harassment, it would likely be that:

1) The teacher raped the student
2) The teacher and student agreed to have consensual sex, then the student went crying to authority/ authority somehow were alerted to situation and 'classified' the case as sexual harassment due to the teacher being the more adult person (there's a word for it, but it escapes me right now) (and then there's all the duty of care stuff etc etc blah blah)

So:

1) I had a rethink/ mental rephrase of my answer- yeah, I see your point, though 'sexual harassment' seems to imply to me that it was not so much a 'choice' for one of the people involved. If it wasn't a choice (some sort of coercion rather than an offer), then no- I'd not think that that's okay.

2) Otherwise- I'd think (or hope) that, generally speaking, by the age a student is old enough to need to bargain with their body, they are mature enough not to shirk the weight of their choice (i.e. knowing that it's a deliberate act of their own accord, to be able to accept what they did and not get unduly disturbed).

Or you say 'classified'. I'm taking that to mean that it's come out in the open somewhere and that's what whatever authority found out called it. In this case, I think choice or coercion or anything just goes out the window. Teacher will get charged because it's against the law.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying with the pre-marital sex bit, sorry. Premarital sex doesn't particularly bother me, as I don't see sex as something to be 'saved' (for want of better word) for marriage especially... if that's what you mean?

Teachers who ask that of their students sure have guts.
They can be recorded and reported to the police for sexual harassment.
I personally wouldn't go through such a hassle for a grade. I can study half an hour to get a passing mark and that's that (or even cheat in class).
I gotta admit no one would like, in extreme cases, to repeat a whole school year. So I understand the students who do that to pass.
I don't find this method such a incredibly wrong one, it's just like paying money, but you're using your body, it's too common these days to make anyone gasp at the thought.
I also never thought of the student-teacher intimate relationship to be wrong, teachers are humans too...

I've heard about incidents like this, but I don't believe it to be true.

If it were true, my thoughts on it: It's the same as having a relationship as a teen with a Mid-Age man.
And also, if someone were willing to go that low to just get a good grade, they're aiming more than the grade:
1.They're most likely horny and/or have hormones that aren't under control.
2.Their teacher is hot.

These incidents would most likely happen with female students x male teachers. You should specify that.
