I don't know if this is the right category but... anyways I just want to know who speaks and understands Japanese.
I have my reasons for asking this but I can't tell you here because this thread might be close...

But anyways one of the reasons is I want to find a translator for some manga I'll scanlate...

if it helps check out the group http://japanese.minitokyo.net/ there's probably someone in there that can help and the mod of the forum's this is her group...with everything with a small site things tend to move slower than normal but you could try asking in there and seeing what comes of it, best of luck

I can speak alittle Nihongo, understand some. As far as reading in Nihongo, not very well. Here's a sample: "Watashi wa Nihongo ga hanasu wakarimasu"
"Watashi wa wana ni kakaru masen"
I can understand the Japanese language.
I do not like to be in a trap.

OP, I hope you don't mind me editing the title of your thread. The title is a bit misleading ;)

Anyway, I hope you find a translator for your manga soon. I used to translate for a scanlation group but that was a very long time ago. Your best bet is to find someone who has studied Japanese for a minimum of 2 years at an intermediate level. I find that translating manga isn't particularly hard, but you need the sound effects, a good dictionary and general good bank of vocab and knowledge of sentence structure.
