The invisible cloaking system does have the ability to make the Ms using dodge the enemies radar system.

Though, I think the reason for popularity with the Deathscythe (Hell) and Epyon are simply because of people thinking they're (MS and/or pilots) cool-looking and are just big fans of them, and not so much because of tech and other real facts about the MS themselves. If one takes tech into account, then the Wing Gundam Zero and Epyon have both proven to overwhelm Deathscythe Hell. Wing Gundam Zero alone was able to almost beat Duo and, at the time, it was piloted by a lame OZ lackey (Trent).

Honestly, the Twin Buster Rifle doesn't seem that much stronger, if at all stronger, than the mega beam rifles of the UC era.

The Wing Gundam Zero is also most likely just as fast and maneuverable, if not more so than the Tallgeese as is Epyon.
