I wouldn't call him a god, at least not any more than the rest of the gotei13 since all of them are 'gods of death'. But he is absurdly powerful, so there has to be something special about him and his past... he wasn't really that much of a child genius like Gin or Hitsugaya. He just kind of came out of nowhere and it was always way more powerful than everyone else thought him to be. They really should explain it a little better. Maybe they will during his final fight with Ichigo. That's when we usually get enlightend about enemy's past.

Well, that is good to have. But i like what Re-l said about finding out about Aizen's past, but maybe instead of waiting until the epic final show down with Ichigo, we might see a glimpse in the film that's released at the end of the year?

err... well, I think he's a mad man... 'cuz I don't really understand why he's doing all that stuff ! I mean, he was really respected in the Gotei 13 ! or was his past a disaster? it'd be really helpful to know his past... see... if his past was a disaster, I understand him ! otherwise, if it was, well... err, pretty... peaceful... he's definitely MAD !

well personally i think hes a madman... and a cheater. i mean really, perfect hypnosis - type abilities on his zanpakuto and we dont even know his bankai yet?
that aside, i think he looks like a butterfly / mutant fairy as of the most recent chapter.
