for me ... i think i middle... since i not like too short anime or too long anime..........

well since in here not say how much episode for short and how much episode for long one....

i like only 24 ~ 26 episode only.. XD this is long or short one?

I like both ... I mean i love Naruto, Reborn and so on, but i think that Naruto is too long, so i like the short ones too ^^

Overall I prefer long ones, because you want to know everything about the characters and that's something that a short anime is normally unable to offer.

Both are good. It's depend on the story and the characters.

usually i prefer the short anime. if it goes on too long, i'll lose interest.

DEPENDS

Short animes - Straight to the point and normally don't loose quality, sometimes bad if based on ongoing manga and you want to see the rest animated

Long animes - Tend to get attached to the story line and characters generally more then short animes, but tend to loose quality over time.

26-50 i think the most perfect size)

I prefer long ones, because I always need some time to grow on the story and characters. It makes me sad when the series is already over just when I was about to start loving the story and characters :(

short because otherwise it will never end

long anime like bleach!)

Agreed.

Shorter ones that are really top notch are great, but I often feel a sense of unease seeing how it was just a short thrill. Series like Eden of the East are excellent though since it used movie sequels to finish the story off

long anime of course but not too long
about 50 episode

The best anime are the short one's but there's long anime who are good to watch and without getting bored.

the short ones! :p the plot is more intense than the long ones.. them keeps u interesed, althoug with the others is easier to get borred or tired to wait the next edition...

As most have said, it depends actually.

Short ones are good if:-
Action-packed
Gives clear information to the audience
Ample character development

Long ones are good if:-
Nice plot
Relating fillers
Character development is complete
New characters get introduced as series goes on
Arcs don't drag too much

Well; all in all, both are nice as long as those are met and the voice acting, animation and fight scenes are beautifully animated. That's to me at least though there are some other elements that i cannot put into words.

Life - it's a one-shot affair

It depends, I usually stay away from really long ones because I'm not sure I have the patience and dedication XD (And anyways, I always wonder how there can possibly be enough ideas to keep the story interesting for hundreds of episodes) Though there are some cases where I feel an anime would be better if it was longer.

long animes short ones r...too short.

well it depends on the story, usually I hate long anime series with too much side quests just to have a long airing or something, otherwise I can say a certain anime series is good if it has a good story whether it is long or short.

Quote by jahviActually, it really depends. I personally enjoy longer anime than short ones. Of course, there are those that loses my interest along the way. Usually, when I develop some kind of interest in an anime, I would want it to continue longer than the usual 23-26 episodes. But there are a lot of very good animes that are 13 episodes or 26 episodes. But this is what I think:

Short Anime:
There's really no character developing and characters are limited. There's not enough time to go "around" spending time on each character (or expanding the plot, making it complicated, connection every little thing, etc). Therefore, the plot progress faster which makes it a quick watch without actually losing too much interest in it. Of course, this makes the ending---well---sort of bad. Some have good endings, others are forced, while others are just...bad. Some of the times, the ending is open-ended and makes the watcher curious if there's ever a second season.

Long Anime:
There's many interesting characters. The story is able to cater to a various of arcs. The characters are able to grow. Usually, the pace of the story is a little slower, which can become dragging. Yes, it has some fillers---others a lot. But building the story toward the climax, ending is something that we watchers look forward to. Of course, once the story goes toooooooo long, it becomes a little dragging. But you're able to enjoy it for quite a long time.

Some of my favorite long running animes are: Sailor Moon, Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece, Detective Conan, Bleach, Naruto, Prince of Tennis and more.

I agree with her :3

For me, short anime should span at least 20-40 episodes. I think I enjoyed watching the short ones better than the long ones. The long ones (50+ eps) might slowly made me feel bored watching those (especially if many of the episodes were just fillers).

short is best for me... although I don't mind a long anime. I guess it really depends on the interesting storyline.

Long ones! I get really attached to the characters, and when it ends so quickly i feel sad... So, definitely long ones ^^

both have thier good points
