i get what you mean. it means that Miss Marilyn never hated the one god that she believed in (did she? :/) but she hated the gods that people created; those man-created gods, etc etc..

well, I dunno about that given the context of who said it.
Marilyn Manson is actually a dude (his stage name anyway) and well known as a Satanist. That title might be misleading (purposely so) since most don't believe in Satan (nor god, as you might well have conjectured).

I actually have a problem thinking of an explanation as well, lol, but I would say that perhaps he is trying to talk about the historical battles waged by different religious factions? Maybe, like, that it is purely circumstantial that we believe in our god and they in theirs, and were we on the other side, then their's is the true god and the others are something to be despised.

Not saying I agree with that, but.....yeah. :B

Funny since I got into a minor discussion in my philosophy class about this topic. I'm not going into too much depth of it, but it's pretty much how imperfectionists(humans) believe they can criticize or obtain the "true" concept of perfection(God). However, something imperfect can never become perfect; therefore, we have no say on something we can never become, let alone fully understand.

So i guess he meant that 'nothingness' is impossible... like if you imagine a vacuum... well it still has 'space'
Big bang theory might say(i say might cuz i don't know what it says exactly) that there's nothingness 'outside'(though the term outside loses its meaning if it's not in space... but that's what is called nothing) the universe... i don't really trust the big bang theory <_<
