MY BEST FRIEND
A vessel of kindness,
A cauldron of love,
That’s what my best friend is.
Without her
I would merge with nothingness,
Stretching far in a narrow alcove.
A mesmerizing idol of idolatry she is.
Ah! She is divine.
That’s what my best friend is.
I plead you,
Never hurt her heart please,
As that would also agonize mine.
The myriad image of purity foretold,
A symphony of smiles.
That’s what my best friend is.
Admired admirer;
She adores my slightest of achievements as gold,
Whilst I treasure her smiles.
Light piercing through the depths of darkness,
A shelter for the refugees of war.
That’s what my best friend is.
O! Holy Angel.
She always rescues me from melancholy's prowess,
Before I receive a single scar.
Caring, adoring, with grace conferred,
Innocent as a new-born child,
That’s what my best friend is.
Heavenly light.
Please, guide her, with devotion inspired,
Making all her hostility mild.
The warmth of sunshine in dastardly cold,
Trusting as the resurgence of sun and moon,
That’s what my best friend is.
Days of mirth,
She fills my life with joys untold,
As I regard her as my best boon.
