Thanks for the clarification! My wall is in the works.. about 50% done. Should be complete tomorrow or the day after. I actually already assumed I could apply shading the way you described here, luckily.
Hopefully my early post will encourage more participants and be a referable example for those who didn't understand before.
I'll talk us up like we're the bees' knees.

The HEX values are a great addition! I dunno if by any chance you have links to the individual palettes on Colour Lovers? If not no biggie :]
Also (sorry if I missed this somewhere) are people allowed to enter multiple walls?
My walling efficiency is super low right now, but even still - there are so many yummy palettes up there x3

I tryed to search them again, I was sure I saved them in my faves...but it wasn't like this :( I was stupid >.< I'll try it again before Christmas!
I don't think about multiple entries, because firstable it depends of how many walls will have at the end of the contest :)
If I see that there a lot of entries, I could decide to accept more than one wall :)
But usually I don't really like the fact that one person could send more than one work...Surely, like this there are more entries in the contest, but it isn't really "correct" with others...I think that everyone would have the same possibilites in "percentual" than others :) If you understand what I mean...But this doesn't mean that you can't made all the walls that you want XD If you like the palettes, just use them! :3 And so, at the end of the contest, you would tell me with wich of your works you would like to use to enter the contest ^_^

Ok, finally done!
I've just edited the first post, and I add all the info that I give you until now!
Plus of this I added on the group page the first entry, made by jakuro :D
And from now until the end of the contest, THIS will be the topic in which post your works! Definetly!
Sorry if I did a little of mess, it wasn't a good idea to open new topic -.-

Again, how I said to NenrikiKaen in pm, there a lot of ways to do shadows! Just be creative! ;D
I gave you the possibility to use pattern/textures and gradient, too !
Yah, probably they will be more "solid color" but if you play with these rules, you could create really works totally different one from each others! ^_^
So, less worries, more walls! ù.ù [ :p ]ps: I didn't call this group "make your best" without a reason ;3

Well I did some modification on my contest entry wall here is the latest version so now i have some questions
1- I used The black and white gradient to add some gloss effect on the hair , is it acceptable or I'll be disqualified?!
2- for some reason the reversion aren't working for me today so can I re-upload the new version of the wall ?!To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path,
