Who do you hate in anime? o.o I hate lots of people in anime, but here are ones that I hate the most:

Aizen from Bleach, because: Obnoxiously overpowered to the point of being unbelievable, way too calm and emotionless to be interesting
Lucci from One Piece, because: Despicable, arrogant, and evil, he wants nothing more than to kill and murder people for no reason
Enel from One Piece, because: Cocky, also arrogant, claims to be god and wants to destroy an entire island of people for no real reason
Arlong from One Piece, because: Took over an entire village and forced them to pay him money, also brutalized Nami's mother and killed her, practically raised Nami as a slave for several years
Haruhi Suzumiya, because: Whines and bullies everybody into doing what she wants, has the power of a god and is open to abusing it and endangering everybody on the planet

Anyway my most despised character is Shannon from umineko. She's annoying and Kanon is an idiot for caring what she thinks .__. KanonxJessica all the way. I also hate George, I'm still annoyed at the hours of awkward dialogue between them I had to sit through at the start of episode 2 >.>

Heya guys, I'm here to ruin everyones fun and do the moderator stuff. For those that are posting larger images, could you please either make them thumbnail links, or else text links? Hrm, besides pretty much every useless and whiny damsel in distress in ANY series, two that take the cake are these:
Kaname Kuran (Vampire Knight) *runs from raging fangirls*
I don't care how good or awesome or dashing he looks, I didn't like him from the beginning and simply had a bad feeling about him that turned out to be somewhat right - I simply despise scheming characters like him. He just rubbed me the wrong way from the moment I started reading manga and ever since then, I'd go 'tch' every time I saw him, lol.
Seiji Yagiri (Durarara!)
Well, besides the fact that his whole family borders on crazy, his clingy, obsessive, possessive and downright psychotic nature makes me feel very...disturbed. I gotta hand it to the creator of DRRR! - he made a really good character everyone pretty much despises. Did I mention he's also obsessed with a freaking cut off head of a Norse Valkyrie? XD
oh gosh, there are so many of them that Idk who to choose ^^'
I agree for Aizen, I just hate him >.< he plays around like a boss and I hate that!
then.. Orihime (she makes me wanna slap her and kick and.. I think I'll stop my murderous intents...

Aww I like Lelouch and the homunculi (except Gluttony and Sloth, who are just plain creepy since they obviously are mindless creatures) in FMA :(
While Lelouch is an anti-hero and the homunculi are definitely villains, I do think they deserve our respect, or if not respect, then at least some sympathy. In Lelouch's case,

My point is, not all villains deserve to be despised, because some of them have wonderful character buildup and development. Like z827 has said, not all killers are unlikable. That's why I don't despise Alucard from Hellsing, Lucy from Elfen Lied and characters like these.
To me, characters that are worth despising are those who:
1. kill for no reason whatsoever
2. are so shallow and superficial that you just want to punch them in the face
3. are never certain in their decisions and keep torturing themselves over nothing
4. are stupid beyond comprehension
And one more thing. Despise means you look down on someone. It does have a slight difference from
'dislike'.

Come on , anti-heroes and villains needs some love too!
Still , some antagonists can't simply find a "purpose" in their lives ( Like Kotomine Kirei ) and because
of that , they continue to strive to do what entertains them the most - incurring pain and suffering upon others.
Some like Haman Karn ( Gundam ZZ ) was simply distorted by their surroundings and others enjoy killing whilst appearing
awesome at the same time.
It's funny but there are more annoying protagonists than there are annoying villains - protagonists whom keeps
whining about how they can't save anyone , gains an extraordinary amount of power from an external source and runs
the villain over through and through.
That is why heroes like EMIYA would always be a cut above them - a blacksmith hero whom had refined what little he has
to save the lives of many but was left alone in the end because of his pursuit for a better world.
Anyways , I'd like to add a pair of characters into the list but I've forgotten their names - and the Anime / Visual Novel's name :X
Pretty sure it had something to do with forced marriage - prearranged marriage assigned by the government owing to the critically low birth rates or something.

Emiya Shirou from Fate/Stay Night (anime). I mean, I know that we're supposed to empathise with him and his "why should we kill?!?"

But he kind of wears the viewer out with his nearly constant dude-in-distress role, and is generally not all that cool
next to the other Fate/Stay characters. ^^; I suppose since it's based on a Visual Novel, I shouldn't be
totally surprised by the slightly cliche-sounding lines he get, and the way female characters have to get all blushu around him but.... a few episodes before the last I couldn't stand him
anymore. lol Even if his after-anime role is supposed to really awesome. >->
But the one I really want to put up here:

Albert Maverick. Anything said would be too spoiler-ish but grr, this is the troll one cannot really like. And he actually seemed like a grandpa figure in the beginning. D:

Emiya Shirou was actually very well-designed character in the Visual Novel - a lot of reasoning , emotions , thoughts
and fears wasn't explained nor even displayed in the Anime - his not exactly the typical "want to save
everyone" kind of protagonist either.
His ideals were passed down from Emiya Kiritsugu - the contestant of the Fourth Holy Grail War and the way he shed tears
in gratitude for being able to save someone in the flames had left a deep impression in Shirou - furthermore , the idea
of being the only one saved in that incident had also played quite an impact in his mindset.
As for why the girls pay extra attention to him... Well , Anime versions of Visual Novels tends to enjoy meshing all of the routes into a single Anime - same goes for Anime based off Otome games - though Rin's behavior in the prologue was kinda odd and she did notice Shirou for a very long time - so did Sakura for the matter. ( Sakura joined the Archery Club under the influence of Shirou and tended to his household chores when his arm was injured several years ago )
Well , 'nuff of the rant , now it's time to insert the character which I despise.

I agree with z827.. I hate Makoto from school days the most. He just totally piss me off... I actually felt relieved and happy when i see his ending to be like this X)...
I actually don't have many characters I hate.. But I remember I really didn't like this one (though I
don't remember the reason), I stopped watching this anime (Erementar Gerad) because of her.

Chichi and Bulma in the android saga -__-;
Chichi is such a bitch. XD
She's just rude and obnoxious, yells at everyone, treats Goku like dirt (good thing he's the most pure-hearted
character or he would snap), and is dead set on controlling Gohan's life....sheesh.
And Bulma....she's alright for most of the series but...what the hell? In the android saga she starts acting like an idiot for some reason, case in point: bringing her infant son with her while she goes looks at the androids, just to sate her curiosity. Makes no sense.
