So guys, I really didn't quite understand the ending of xxx holic correctly. I mean does Watanuki keep waiting forever or something? And what is Domeki's grandson doing there? And why is Watanuki alone? Please Elaborate.

Ah, the holic ending. I'll try to do my best to explain, so here goes:

First off, just to clarify, Yuko is dead. Presumably permanently. In the last volume, we see that Watanuki finally has enough magical powers to be able to leave the shop, as he learns through a dream with Yuko in it. In this dream, Watanuki also comes to the conclusion that he will never meet Yuko again, YET for some (stupid) reason decides he will stay in the shop rather than leave because he wants to wait for Yuko. If you're thinking, "lol wut? Why is he waiting for her when he just determined she won't come back?" then you're not alone. We can only assume it's because he can't move on, but it's still bad writing if you ask me. Anyways, I've digressed. As for why Domeki's grandson is there, it's to show the passage of time and emphasize how long Watanuki has been waiting for Yuko. Watanuki's job and magic make him age extremely slowly, which explains why he looks the same but acts like an old soul.

Does that help clear things up at all? I'm afraid I'm not the best at explaining things, but I can try again if need be. >.<

There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's trying to get out, but I can usually shut her up with cookies.

Thanx. That was awesome. You are good at explaining things. That clarified my doubts.
