Big Sis

I've been trying very hard the past few months to get better at my Vectoring Anime images.
I've done very well.
I haven't colored them because the program I use won't let me fill in the spots I want to color. So I am working on that part.
I know most of you who will look at them will say I still need more work.
But please try not to say "Hurtful things"
Because I've been trying very hard.

Gone.

They definitely look better than your previous attempts but like you said, there is still room for improvement.

I still don't understand why you can't color the images you vector; if I remember correctly, you said you used Photoshop so that should be very much possible. It would help if you screenshot the image you work on in PS, together with all the layers and stuff so I can see what the problem might be about.

Also, while your lines have become better and more consistent, I think you should definitely use shape layers instead of paths - paths are easier but paths are not good for vectoring living beings like humans, animals etc. They look especially ugly on hair because the ends of the hair aren't sharp and pointy as they should be, but blunt and all the same width and line size. Shape layers add more dynamics to your lines so you should practice with them, too.

I'm not using photoshop for those there, I've done those in "InkScape"

Ohh, Inkscape...yeah, I don't have much experience working with it. I've tried it out but it was really hard to get used to it, lol. Well, I suppose you'd have to ask someone who has more experience with that program for some help or tips regarding that coloring problem.

InkScape might have the same reason for not letting you fill colour the images. From Illustrator, it's that everything needs to be locked out entirely (closing paths, no opening), if it's still open...which is the case with screenshots a lot....it doesn't let you fill. Nevertheless, from my own experience. I always vector fill/colour every vector entirely myself. I find it more reliable when I trace the lines with the pen tool to colour the places I want to (counts for everything shading/lighting). You might want to give it a try on a different layer or something. It's the only way that will always work.

Coloring rainbows.. with a knife

i took notice on the hair, that you might have been using more than one point on the single line. Make sure the lines are not so edgly and are smooth, to get that you need to use no more than 2 lines [paths] for a strand of hair. If you are vectoring and not vexeling [ vexeling is when you use paths instead of shapes ] then you will use 4 lines for a strand of hair. By strand of hair i mean the crooked "V" shape that we use for the hair :P
I am not familliar with InkScpae at all, but i hope i helped or atleast mentioned something that has already been in a better way :PP
