Many websites say they require "Java". Does Java still have a virus? I really need to know! I wanted to know everyone else's opinion first :) I recall hearing about Java having problems so I wasn't sure if I should use it or not.

I believe that the issue they were having was cleared up some weeks ago. The new Java update is Java 7.17 (build 1.7.0_17-b02) and I have provided a link to the Oracle Java Update if you need it.
