just looooooooove your entry!
r-really? :'D
It took me a loooot of efforts to do it, but i thought i won't tell the process, cuz it'd look lame if no one
liked it, now i can tell it T_T
The scan itself was one of the few pics of miku which i didn't really like -.-'
first thing i did was to remove those floodlight silhouttes on the scan.
then, i duplicated the layer, erased the background so that i had the 'render' which i duplicated. And then i
smudged the duplicated layers and changed their layer modes in such a way that miku appeared to 'glow'
slightly.
Then i made a new layer, filled it with blue color and set it on Hue, which gave an even color to the pic.. i erased the
parts of the layer over her face and some of her shirt(notice how the 3's outline is pink) to make it look
livelier.
Then for the first time, i used c4d's.. i wasted a lot of time on it trying various layer modes for each one.. but
non really suited, at last i chose one with simple lines and erased some parts to give what you can see around
miku(those orange-ish lines along her hand)
Then, on a new layer, i colored the corners black, and then smudged them to create dark areas, so that the focus of the
sig stays on miku. And then a faint white circle on a new layer over miku's face to make it shine
theeen..i added some gradient maps and changed the layer mode of the top one to 'pin light' which gave a
'textured' feel to the picture..
still something seemed missing, so i added random text.. but i'm not quite happy with the text though..
and your sig has many elements which i liked this time, hi chan. I liked the crosses and text(which font?) at the
right.. And i also liked the background's blurred style. The motion blur on the character itself could have been
better executed though, it spoils the focus and the background's and the character's blur don't go in the
same direction so the effect isn't that awesome. But i really liked the idea :D
