What *can* you do, besides make it clear that you're not interested? (which I'm assuming you've already done) You could also avoid that person if possible, log onto a different sn, and don't pick up/accept their calls.

In my situation, part of the relationship breakdown included the realization that I could not trust the other person. So I would agree with the advice given by the others above; make it clear you are NOT interested in them, and put as much distance as possible between the two of you.
It probably would NOT hurt to ask and be certain that your understanding about the "flirting" itself was correct. It is not difficult (I know from experience) to read too much into an action. Hope this helps, and good luck...... :D

If you hate your ex, then you don't have any reason to be with him/her again right?Just make it clear that you don't want to be with him/her >.< or later you will regret for not doing so =P.

Never had a girlfriend before.....So I can't say....but personally he lost his chance.....if he broke up with you or if he did something stupid he needs to realize what he did and stop it. If you've got someone special in your life at the moment....then its tough luck for him. Thats his loss. Though becareful, he might try to 'seduce' you >.> Guys can do that......at times.

Depending on the situation. If it was my ex, in my situation, I'd tell him to F off. o.O
But if it was because before, he felt it just wasn't right, for some reason or another.. I'd probably give him another chance. But if he's just flirting, and that's it. Tell him directly that your not interested, if you haven't avoided him at all. My ex use to stalk me, and finally got the message when i never anwsered to his phone calls or IM's. I have to agree with everyone else, it depends on the situation of why you guys broke up, but if you HATE him, I suggest you just tell him you dont want to be around anymore, and just say "its too hard to talk to you anymore, and i dont want to get back together." if you dont be direct, he will make up excuses to say that you like him. You dont want that. Believe me.

Depends why they are an ex. I've noticed that the reason an ex flirts is because 1) they are lonley and cant find anyone else to flirt with. 2) they miss you and know what they lost. Either way, be really cautious!
