Notifications: 2 when clicked it says Notifications: 1

I've had this problem twice already, I'm sorry if someone has posted this error. Like I already said, I've been having a problem where it tells me, "Notifications: 2", but when I click on it the Notifications link turns to "Notifications: 1" and I only have one message in the message center.

Yes got it too first it says 9 for example and then it sais 8.
i just had the notification saying 3 and then after I clicked it 2. but there were 3 notivications not 2. and it happens about every time I log into mt.
so thanks for making this thread I was wondering about it.
so I have the same thing but than in an opposite way.

had this problem lots of times. it said 33, but then it said 32. on top of that i get u-know-wat wenever it says 1 then says 0.

it is probably due to the large amount of calculation that MT must do. for each user (17k of members), it must make the calculation on how many mails are in the notification.

furthurmore, sometimes the pm's that havnt' been read count as one, but when you check it, it goes away and negate the number of notification you truly have.

it's something like that >_>;;
