How do you like your wallpapers?

Hard-boiled. No, really. A hard-boiled egg has all its energy focused inside the shell. compared to wallpapers, that would mean the focus of the image would be somewhere where you wouldn't expect icons to cover it, & the rest of it (the shell) would lack in detail or colors, it would just have a contrast to the focus... Put an image on a black background, or a color matching the image's background, or even a good-looking gradient, or maybe even a B&W war scene, & you're ready to go!

I like wallpapers to have their focus about two thirds of the way from the left.

Though a good wallpaper will make me ignore that

I like my wallpapers in 1280x1024 and I like to have a colour theme running throughout. I like the focus to one side aswell.

My icons are in the left and right corners so I like it when the main image is the middle. Also lots of bright and bold colours! And I like nice looking background too, lol, not just random filters, but organized.

Focus on the...er, my right. Preferrably nothing on the other side. I also likes sensical and themed wallpapers. So, the usual minitokyo "omgz hawt chick and shiney things" doesn't really inspire all that much =/

Balanced color to dark color, Wallpaper whit many color not are goods for me. Not needed centralized, 'cause i dont use icons on the desktop.

I like my wallies to be 1280x1024 as well, and the image doesn't need to have a fancy background, but I like the main focus to be in the right 2/3s of the screen because my icons are all on the left. It doesn't matter too much if some of the main image is covered by my icons on the left, but the main eye candy should be visible on the right side of the screen. :)

Regarding size, I like the wallpapers to be big and any 4x3 resolution. i.e. not1280x1024 since those require non-symmetric scaling to show properly on all the other standard screen resolutions. (scale by 1a x 0.975a where a is the factor otherwise they look stretched)

I use a program called panorama, its a basic program, it can be set up to u dont need to see ur icons, and it can also cycle through a group of wallpapers. So i dont need to worry about what wallpapers look like, and if i need desktop icons i just Windows-key + D. And there u have it... problem free desktops...

I like walls that are nice yet simple, like not overly crowded. I want like 1/4 the left to be somewhat blank so I have space for my icons so it doesnt cover the wallpaper. Colors, not to bright or too dark.

I like my wall 1600*1200 and it has limited char, not groupies but sometime if it exceptionally good i'll take it .

grungy, high tech looks : ), details, technique (oh yeah!!!) , crowded is fine i like it, nice or cool looking subject,
and many many more.

I like dark wallpapers, at 1024x768 and with the pic on the right. If possible with a pretty boy.

I'm with most people here. I like my wallpaper dark (Easy on the eyes when booting up in the morning) more focused to the right of my screen but have an interesting theme that connects the two sides so that it doesn't just fall flat... I don't care about a wall's size as long as it's 1024x786 or larger (I can always resize it for my machine)

But that's only for using on my own machine... there are wallpapers that I'll really like, if not for use, for overall beauty of the work.

I like my wallie 1280x1024.. and usually have 1 or 2 main background colour.. not too colourful and focus on the centre to bottom right..
