I think the problem lies in your connection..
Maybe you're behind a firewall, or some kind of proxy that have a very limited timeout counter...

try to close all fire wall
and refresh ur connection ^^
what browser do u use ?
This signature violates the signature guidelines, thus it has been removed.
Have the same problems I was told it is due to large download when it is bussy on mt.
edit: oly happens on my home computer must becouse of my connection or maybe my compy can't process fast enough

dude, I'm using 56K and I have little to no timeouts ^_^'
most of the bandwidth is sucked by adwares or trojans that resides in your system... try cleaning that up... ^^

Bandwidth is the key problem here then. If it lags, it is definitely not your connection, nor the browser, but the server itself.
When I first used Firefox on MT, there was no key difference. I though it lagged, so I switched to IE - same thing. There is no real improvement to be made. Guess your stuck with the problem, I guess. Other than enhancing your memory drive, nothing much can be done.
