Having lived in So. Cali for over 17 years, one grows use to earthquakes after a
while. People that haven't been here very long get freaked out over a little
tremor here and there... so I was wondering how many people really are afraid of
quakes...
Please list where you are from too (earthquake area, non earthquake
area)
Then again, I would be terrified if a tornado suddently hit us!
well i live in NY so ive only been in a few earthquakes n they really havent
been that bad but ive been in my fair share of hurricanes n tornado
storms...tornados are the only element i fear..since my friend lots his brother
in one...plus ive lik only a few miles away from some tornados b4 n they are
creepy since they look lik the commin rite at you...seriously earthquakes are
pretty low on the enviromental disaster list for me...guess its diff for you
though since u live in cali..the american home of the earthquake
I'm in VA, so I've never been through an earthquake, and I don't want to (who
would?). I am scared of anything that can cause some serious damage:
earthquakes, wind, flood, lightning, fire (how ironic), but I'm not too scared
since I live a pretty safe life. Hurricanes, I've experienced. I've been
through quite a few hurricanes...
I never been through an earthquake before but if I get the chance.. probably be
shocked for the first time.. if its just a small one then I should know what to
do =p if its really big then I would be freaked out
o.O just remembered that there was last year or some time that we had a tremor
caused by the earthquake at indonesia if I am not wrong.. people felt them but I
seriously didn't notice anything different
i experience a couple here in the Philippines, but theyre were'nt that
dangerous...but still they freaked me out because everything started getting
blurry and i was losing balance..
I live in southern Indiana, and apparently we're supposed to be afraid of some
evil fault line down here that cause some glass to share like 80 years ago.
So, I'm not really afraid.

I live north of SF, and I'm not too afraid. I don't feel many earthquakes, but I'm not afraid.
I'm more afraid of black holes and whatnot.
Interesting. Since you live in San Francisco, where were you when the 1989 earthquake struck the Bay Area?
I've experienced several earthquakes too and I have healthy respect for them.
