Hrm. Wasn't really certain where to put this, but I thought I'd like to share a poem or two of written, and perhaps encourage other people who write poetry here to post theirs as well... apologies if this isn't the right place for this thread, but I don't really think it fits elsewhere here

Anyway, this is an place where those of us who aren't that graphically talented, but perhaps are talented otherwise can share out works and our writings... hope to see some other wonderful writing here.

Here are two of my poems written in the past...oh... recent. They form part of a collection I'm putting together in respect to self publication shortly. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy them.

Constellation

Twinkle twinkle
boardroom jingle,
little starlets stroke
Chihuahuas,
nibble on
Shanghai noodles
-only the best!

glittering fangs trace
razor-edged
honey over
nervous media
notebooks,

the rough
face of her toy-boy
lover shining fluoro
in latex pants with

a strip of rouge
twisted around her wrist
setting off tan and
fashionably spirit
- hey Jude -
complimenting

strapless Chinese
silk draped over
the walking hanger,
protruding bones
touch bloody
carpet

Good Morning!

Scent, smell, lie
on back, face turns
Upwards to
unfamiliar ceiling

Coated with black spider threads
running over cream, webbed fingers
stretching along paint,
down walls, reaching
my face.

Bwahaha - a poetry contest, eh?

Unfortunately I know a certain specific forum for that kind of stuff. Too bad there are only like 5 poets going like back and forth there O_o. Anyhou - nice poems?... lol - not too shabby.

I've written poems for over 7 years now - and this one is very intriguing. Haven't written poetry for a while, but I know talent when I see it. Thanks for sharing. lol

Not exactly a contest per se - more just a sharing box, basically a showcase kinda thing.
