well, if that's the case, i use earphones.
this is because my speakers and sound card are old..... low quality..... so i
use earphones to enhance it and i really mean enhance it.
for example, in a game, i can hear footsteps perfectly clear now on low volume
compared to speakers on a high volume. i also recieve better bass from it.

I prefer headphones because the quality of music is enhanced greatly rather than
what you would be listening to on some speakers. Though, I'm sure it depends on
what company it came from as well. If you got those $8,000 speakers, heck, I'd
hook that one up instead. lol
But overall, obviously headphones give off the best quality sound, hands down.
Unless the headphones/earphones are senheiser or equivalent, I still prefer for
standard speaker, and besides I don't like being annoyed with the wires that
connect to the pc (unless the headphones are wireless, but thats required
constant charging also).
Speakers for music, headphones for games (if they arent 5.1 sound, in the other
case i use speakers too for games). Dunno wich is better but headphones are near
to the ear so u hear with more accuracy the sounds, but 5.1 has the .1.... that
all we love.

I don't know what kind ... well its Logitech speakers but i use headphones.
i have personally always liked creative speakers they sound great along with their sound card.

except they are diffrent, mine is about headphones or speakers where as the other is speaker setup
If you have a philips hp890 or better, go with headphones, if not speaker than. Good headphones cost less then same par speakers.
Headphones give me headaches after about an hour, so I just stick with speakers...
